I have 15 active connections to Sexcoin Network!!!
Unfortunately only two of them are actually sexcoin clients. Port 9333 is litecoin right? No idea on 9917. Mine does this too and I have no idea why. I deleted my sexcoin.conf. Now there are only 2 nodes left. I think, it is no good idea, adding other nodes with ports which are not 9560. But in the first post, there is a sexcoin.conf with rpcport=9561. If you want to open your NAT-Router port, because you want to be a node, which port should be opened? Or is opening a port no good idea?

9561 is the default port.. The big danger I suppose is somebody bruteforcing a username and password to connect to the daemon and then messing with your wallet.. If you set a good username , rpcpassword and dont use a wildcard for rpcallowip and encrypt your wallet, I doubt you'll have much trouble..

Since chinsu is missing SXC needs a DEV team and and website to get of the ground. My coding skills are way below average and biz style design is really not my thing, but I could provide hosting for the site and porn renders in different niches.
Getmininginfo still shows about 13000 kH/s (no idea if that is correct. My client shows -342275 blocks remaining after syncing). But there still seems to be some interest in SXC.

I have been trying to compile a "clean" version of the SXC coin client. On windows I've managed a compile that looks like there are no errors, but the client only runs for a few seconds and exits... probably put over forty hours into getting that far...
I installed a virtual PC running ubuntu 12.0.4 and then compiled and ran litecoin without a problem.. not counting the ubuntu installation, took about a hour tops... Next step is to compile a windows binary of litecoin on ubuntu using mingw... That seems to be the way most devs do it.. I'm hoping to eventually have gitian builder set up on a box so I can compile whatever binary I please..
If we want this coin developed, we are going to have to do it together, as a community. We have one person who has got a domain name registered, Lyno with some skills and server space, LavaJumper has some skills and might be interested in helping out, and I'm fiddling with the client, and while I'm progressing very slowly, I am progressing.
All we have to do is communicate and organise our efforts, and be patient... After all if we succeed we will never mine so many coins so easily....

I had the block count issue so I just went into my sexcoin.conf and deleted all the nodes that had a different port than 9560 (i.e 9333) and restarted my wallet... end of block count issue...

It will come back again. Even a clean install does it sooner or later. Why does it connect to nodes on port 9333? When it does that it reports what appears to be the block count of Litecoin. Something really weird going on.

I'd just thought I might update everybody where we are at. I know it's boring, but the base code for SXC is really messy. If SXC is to be taken seriously it needs good compilable code up on github, and and clients for at least linux and win32 available for download. Thats why I've been trying to compile "clean" code on windows. I have gotten as far as compiling the latest litecoin on linux for linux, and absolutely nowhere compiling anything on windows. Fortunately, Nomaxpi, unlike me, has experience compiling and has generously decided to help during his vacation to achieve this objective. You'll all be relieved to know he is starting from scratch and isn't relying on anything I've done. The only contribution I've made is a few links to save him a little time googling. As for a website, Kelsey has registered "Sexcoin.xxx" and, I am given to understand, is quite ok with it being used. A lot of people in this topic wanted it, so he went out and did it. Lynos has volunteered space for the website to be hosted. As for me, I'm taking a couple of days to clean my house which has been completely ignored over the last week, and attend to a few other matters before jumping in again. I have set up an apache/php/mysql server with a blockchain explorer on one of my rigs, and other than a pure html website with a few bits of javascript, have no experience with publishing or adminstering websites. I don't want to be seen seen as a "Dev" for SXC, as I have pointed before my progress is slow, I am literally learning as I go. I took the attitude that it is worth doing, it needed to be done, and as nobody seemed to be doing it, I might as well take a shot at it. I don't think I need to sell anybody on why this coin is worth developing, and as far as I'm concerned it's "open season"... As the original Dev seems to have abandoned the coin, anybody can work on furthering it's success. While it is no problem with anybody who feels like it setting up a website etc, a communal effort would probably yeild the best results. If anybody has suggestions or observations I hope they share them ..

.xxx is probably a bad choice of domain, it is for explicit content, surely your homepage won't have porn splashed all over it!

Also when was the last time you clicked a .xxx domain on google. They have their own search engine from the registrar, not many peeps use it.
