In solving world hunger which is and has been a great debate by nations around the globe even spent billions of dollars annually to feed the hunger of people in hard to reach areas. As I can see one of the main answer to solve global hunger is to not waste food, we all know that on farming specially during harvest time when the crops didn’t meet the necessary size and features that will be displayed in the supermarkets it will be discarded and instead it ends up in animal feeds or in a land fill. instead of throwing those away or just letting it rot. Why don’t we just give it to the needy instead.

I think media influence will be a great key to solving global hunger. Think about it. Remember Jerome Jarre? The crazy youtuber and he has a ton of viral videos. He started a campaign for Somalia to raise money for food and water. He raised up to a total amount of $2.5 Million just by using the internet and some of his friends like Casey Neistat. You'll how much of an impact media does to the world. Therefore, a great way to dtart solving world hunger is to start giving to people (like Jerome Jarre) who actually wants to go there and give out food and water.

Hunger is also one factor which is very difficult to solve. Here the world is moving towards modernization. They are mechanistic they are forgiving humanity.

Yes that kind of programs and activities are great idea but don't think for the short term remedies instead think of ways how to eliminate it. Like other says "Prevention is more better than cure", it means that you need to think how to stop it, not how to solve it temporary.

Growing more and more food will eventually reach an end point - to create food, you take nutrients away from the soil (you can't create something from nothing).  There are only so many nutrients.

An interesting point you raise there Vod, it is true soil works merely as a medium for growth, nothing more.  The nutrients contained in the soil are one of the key elements to ensuring healthy growth and yield.

Precision Agriculture methods have helped, with minimal tillage applications, and nitrogen locking techniques such as cover crops, and rotation, however, this only delays the inevitable.

GM crops have been recently produced that require the uptake of less nutrients, to collect the same yields, however, again GM carries with it controversy, especially as governments do little to help in creating an educational understanding among the general public.

There are current tests underway in London, England that has led to the worlds first underground farm, using synthetic based mediums, and nutrients to produce food, these have successfully yielded watercress, mushrooms and cauliflower and further testing is being carried out on a range of other plants.

There is also research being carried out on 3D printing to a genetic level, that could see protein based foods, developed through growth from cells.

For now we have to look towards sustaining what we have, until we can create what we want.

as long as there is a monetary system, hunger on some undevelop countries cannot be solve due to the fact that rich and poor exist, but the government can reduce it by putting some effort for their country like establishing a programs that gives free food for the less fortunate of the society, free education (yes, in order to get a decent job for people who cannot afford to have one), free seminars for livelihood.

It's hard to solve world hunger because it's a world wide issue which has been a problem for ages. If that's a small problem, that problem should've been solved because a lot of great world leaders had already had their chance to do so, however, world hunger is a very big problem.

It's really hard to solve world hunger because it has been a world-wide problem since the old age. I really think that no matter what happens, world problem is hard to be solved. Even in rich countries there would always be some one who would experience hunger. So, I think it's hard to solve this one.

But to solve world hunger, we should solve the main issue. Which is overpopulation, with that we need to either cull the population or birth control. Imagine a targeted disease or virus then release them.
