The Strong Force LLC, has decided to take on a partner in our SquareWear venture.  We need someone to focus on marketing.  Our bitcoin budget isn't big enough to pay someone a real salary, but what we can do is give you a cut of our profits from sales.  This isn't a huge number of coins, we average about a shirt a day in sales, but we're growing.  We sold 10 in one day last week.

We're looking for someone for the long haul.  We're passionate about this business and we will succeed.  Here are some of the traits of our ideal marketing manager:

1.  Familiar with bitcoin culture.
2.  Experience in marketing on the internet, especially with social media. (You know, we'd really like to have an AOL & Friendster presence, plus we'd like to be #1 on Ask Jeeves)
3.  Innovative thinker.  We want someone to come up with new ideas on how to spread the word on our products.  Think inside the box, out of the box, and cat in the box.
4.  Excellent writing skills.
5.  Available time.  We need someone who is going to be working on this every day like we are.
6.  Some kind of superpower.  It can be minor, like resistance to papercuts, but this is non-negotiable.

Bonus skills - Art & technical stuff

PM me at least one marketing idea, your qualifications, why you think you can help us, and tell me what your superpower is.

I'll send you a PM in the morning but I can tell you my superpower right now: I can read sarcasm in plain text without the assistance of emoticons.

Still around.

Come up with some funny chick ones, I'll get my girls to model them for you- no charge (well, don't count on getting the shirt back LOL).

We're actually launching some shirts for girls next Monday (both new designs and at least one previous design in a girl's cut).

Let me know you think and maybe we can work something out.

Sure no problem, always happy to help out a merchant. "Real girl" facebook angle candids I can get you in a few days, but we only drag out the lights for the pro shots every eight weeks or so.

Shirt color is tough, man.  People having lots of mutually exclusive preferences (never wear black vs always wear black).  We're still experimenting with offering multiple colors.  Do you have a specific shirt you'd like to see in black?

I just ordered a couple of shirts.  I had to get I DIG RIGS in gray because it wasn't available in black.  Of course, for that one particular shirt, you'd have to invert the black art and text.  And, since I already ordered a gray one, I'm unlikely to order another if you make a black one.

At any rate, I'm firmly in the always wear black camp, and if places like thinkgeek and tshirthell are any indication, I've got plenty of company.  Then again, your target demographic might be different, and I'm hardly an authority on the shirt business.

While I've got your ear, any thoughts on polo/golf/work shirts?  I'm thinking like this one but with a bitcoin logo.  I never seem to have enough subversive shirts that I can wear around the office.

We'd like to welcome forum user Edd into the SquareWear family. Edd is going to be our marketing manager.  Edd runs BitBrew.net, Thebitcoinlist.com, and several other ventures.  We think he's going to do great things for us and we're excited to be working with him.  I'm sure he'll have some fun promotions/announcements for everyone in the coming weeks.
