why many ico launch with ETH ?

It's very important to pay bounty hunters for Ethereum to avoid dumping their tokens also in tokens for investors this is the main problem of all so it might be a possible soon eth/btc will pay for bounty hunters.

A very large number of projects do have great potential for proper arrangement and work, but it seems to me ETH because many projects already use it as their default choice. Therefore it is.

Every dev. knows what is most convenient for him to receive or what feels will work out well for him.
There are also some projects, whose tokens are ERC20. So sometimes, you might be asked to send the fund you want to use for the investment through the ethereum wallet address that will receive the token. So those seems tp be easier for them.
Although, there are projects on their own blockchain, yet they receive coins in eth.
Other coins like btc. ltc , dash and the likes are also received.

IMO, one main factor is because the smart contract feature in ETH make it easy to distribution ICO tokens to investors. There are a few coins offering smart contract features such as waves, tron and counterparty. However, I think most ICO is launched in ETH because there are a huge ETH user base.

I don't consider that as a problem, that is an opportunity for investors and success for the ETH platform.
The purpose why it's created is to gain users and now that users are increasing and sometimes it cause a network clog down but they definitely will do things to improve the system, also the transaction fee might be lower when update will commence.

We should be thankful that more people are trusting ETH for their ICO but ETH should not be blame in case there are scams.

I think the popularity of ETH's smart platform is superior to any other platform. So since the beginning of the ICO, the projects only have the option of ETH, so the investors have most of the ETH wallet, which is why the projects choose ETH

I think that a similar number of ICO projects collected funds in ETH and BTC. A bit less, but also a large number of them collected money in FIAT currency (USD, EUR).
I do not understand what you mean "ico payment gateway"?

I think that ETH was chosen more often due to the fact that projects on other platforms (for example Waves) unfortunately often ended in failures.

I think ETH is a reasonable choice for investors. You can send and receive eth on a private network. It has high speed, low cost. Besides eth is very popular. To create token with ERC20 is really easy so eth will be interested by developers when launching
