Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I think is necessary to know the dev, team and product itself. For me is important an existing product.

Good ICO first and foremost has product or services. They only came to the market to raise capital to expand there operation or to undertake development of their product. have it in mind that you must invest into product and services.

Its not enough by just looking at the price of bounty that they are going to pay the consumers, We also need to look at the sales on how much they are capable to sell at the pre ico's time and when it is successful, I think that it s the best ico to rely.

Take a look at how the project releases its coins and its supply schedule. Stay away from premines. Usually scams.

It seems to me that most ICOs have just entered the market to attract capital (as you wrote), and they are not going to implement the project. Unfortunately. But there are really worthwhile projects, which are few.

There are several gems in this thread. Thanks for sharing everyone!

For me, it all boils down to:

  • my understanding of the underlying tech
  • my research skills

I'm overly simplifying it, but that's because everything is already so complex and branched out. I found that helps me think more clearly and focus on what I can do to separate great prospects from dirt.

Knowing how to code and having a solid understanding of the blockchain fundamentals is definitely a plus. Also your search skills (learn how to google correctly) are paramount.

Being open-minded but also skeptical at the same time is (in my mind) the key to approaching any new investment opportunity.

Good luck guys!

Can anyone recommend a good due-diligence team? Like established analysts in traditional markets that spend a lot of time digging into the company and get a good insight into its business.

i'm newbie just know cryptocurrency, i have a little money and i really want to income ICO. But a newbie like me will not discern which is a good project. so i hope old member who have experience this will share for me How to know a good project?
If you want to see a good project, then you need to observe through testimony from some people about the project, then look at the program that will be created if the company can exist among the community or even vice versa. because good or bad project depends on the sustainability of the project itself.

To find good project . So check that also. Every good project have reputable developers. You should check team.  They must a roadmap, Whitepaper, product finished, use case for product, cap and token sale details and some scam ICOs are not presenting any roadmap. because ICOs i very risky. so better have a deeper research about project to avoid losses.

Check the information about the ico whether it is clear or not, and also check whitepaper, product and so forth.

There comes a time when a good project should be connected with the real sector; we want this, or not. Only by tying together "real world" and "crypto world" can you protect yourself from bad investment.

There are many ICOs going on through this month but to me one of the best and potential ICO is AION. The AION TOKEN SALE will raise funds to continue working on bringing the third generation of blockchain technology into our lives. when we shall choose a a good ICO then we have to study on some terms of that Ico, they are: team members, whitepaper, product (finished or not), Roadmap, cap and token sale details etc.

First of all, you need to check projects's GitHub for regular updates, You check team if it is experienced, you check the idea and if has been already implied.

Actually i always say to people the small trick to maintain how to check good ico.
First you have check the idea in whitepaper because its very importat.
Then check the team. Are they real or not?
Then check if they working product or not? If they have that mean they are legit.
