probably you can also learn people to trade or invest correctly? Will earn one mil more  Roll Eyes

There is a ton of bad information out there, but my strategy, and the companies that I consult for; has always been KISS.

Keep it simple stupid.

Find a great team, a token that solves a real world problem, has a good roadmap, preferable already a MVP and VC funding in place and invest.  Biggest problem I see, aside from people not doing any research, is they invest 100/100/100 then 700 then 40 into various coins.

This is usually a reflection of their bias toward future predictions.

The better way is slow and steady.   An even 200/200/200/200 etc is much safer.

haha ! , have you ever participated in a bounty campaign ? or just trading since 2010 ? , anyways awesome ammount Cheesy

Never done a bounty actually.  Ive been asked (outside of the forum here through my "real world" job) to shill some coins pre ICO, but have declined.  If I like a coin, I invest - keep it simple.

Surely SOMN has a better chance to make more money than Golem?Huh?

I cant predict the future - but I think IF Golem can pull off the supercomputer idea.  Its  a game changer and will be the new internet.  So my money is in GNT

10k btc by april you say? That would be amazing. Let's all hope so

Bitcoin has appreciated .66% on average per day, since its inception.  Google just today, announced it would accept Bitcoin as payment.  THAT ALONE is going to help expose it to masses.

Im very confident we will see a $10K BTC by late April.

Any opinion about other altcoins out there? I have heard many comment about RAIN and BOAT but still has no good insight if I may be able to have a good payday for these coins. Also seeing my sights on PARIS, SIGT, and DENT. What are everybody's thoughts on this?

Check out OceanLab OCL

This is one Ive kept my eye on for a while.   Actually one that I will be recommending in my upcoming email blast.

This thread is a great way to prove your credentials in advance of next year's ICO... putting a lot on the line with some big predictions. Hopefully they won't come back to haunt you.
It does sound like you really know what you're talking about (from my perspective of more limited experience).
Very brave of you, and time will tell!

Thanks mate.  I think if everyone put $10 bucks into each of the coins I suggested and came back in 1 year, you're gonna see some nice gains all-in-all.  Problem is people look for 600x in 2 months.

I've been consulting for about a year now and have 1 HUGE hedge fund as a client and 3 banks.

So I tend to error on the side of safety + GAINS vs GAINS+  RISK.

Gotta diversity.

Do the math. The guy states he started in 2010 and turned 50k  into 3.2M.

Bitcoin price at the end of 2010 was $0.25, these days around $4k. If you had invested $1000 in 2010 you would have at least $16 million today.

If you had taken 50k you would have 16*50= 800 million. So basically the guy lost $800 million (by underperforming the crypto market) and brags about it?!

**confused**

If you bought stratis in september of last year for 1.000$, you would've been a millionaire if you'd sold in june. It's easy to talk about what could've been, but let's not forget that if this guy is telling the truth, he did become a millionaire by trading, and that's something we all want to achieve.

You both have good points.  But to re-iterate.  I did not say I put $50k into crypto in 2010. I said Ive invested $50k into crypto SINCE 2010 and now have a bit over $3M

I'm gonna leave a mark here and see it again after a few months,i hope the coin you mentioned will be on the moon later
And it will be nice if you updated some detailed info about the coin you mentioned like events and such
AWESOME!

Keep in mind how new the crypto space is.  We, as a whole, need to think of long terms holds as over 3 years, not over 3 months.  Blockchain will take 2-5 years to reach mainstream adoption and the companies that are around then, will see huge value .

BTC was released roughly 8 years ago. How do you reconcile this with your claim that blockchains will take 2-5 years to go mainstream?
If that would be the case we would already be at mainstream adoption.

In my opinion we need to wait with mainstream adoption until 2nd layer solutions - like the Lightning network - will
prove to be technically viable. Another important part of getting ready for mainstream adoption is increasing
the simplicity of the user interfaces of the popular Bitcoin websites and wallets.

What's mainstream in your opinion? Granny buying her groceries with BTC? That's NEVER going to happen... BTC is already mainstream. They talk about it, invest in it, troll it... 2013-2014 we celebrate at just the mention of bitcoin. Now its all over the news... everyone is talking about it.

RE FUNFair -

They have talked about burning off coins for quite some time. I believe its in their whitepaper as well.  They were going to do an ICO in Sept (r2) but I am hearing that may be canceled.

I like them but we wont see any real movement until the burn (oct I hope) and Q2 of 2018 when they launch a better MVP .

Dont sell

That's not bad. I didn't buy any BTC, I got in 2013 and built mining rigs. Collected coins and traded some went long on others. I put in about 120K into rigs. Now I have just over 4M. Sure glad I kept mining and trading through that terrible bear market in 2014.

Funny thing is back then I believed bitcoin would change the world. Now I think it will just enrich a few people who made the right decisions.

The very simple fact that you even say "too many coins" as if an arbitrary divisor had any importance whatsoever, strongly hints to you being full of crap.

BTW, Sia is amazing. One of the strongest, fullest of emotion and soulful voices in the century, and an amazing songwriter, just check out the list of hits she has written. Oh, Siacoin? Yeah, that is trash, we agree  Grin

What?  Who is this guy?  Why does he only have a dozen post?  Is he shilling coins he owns?  Should we invest based on this post?

Glad you asked....

1.  Im Batman.

2.  Because I'm a cryptocurrency (real estate and stock previously and still...some) expert and investor who spends time reading post, analyzing the market, reading whitepapers, attending conferences, and the like.  I have 3 staff that work full time for me - ONLY researching crypto. Ive been lurking for 6 years.  Finally to a point where Ive decided to spread the love.  (*Ive gotten 4 messages asking if I'm Suppoman.. maybe. But maybe not. )

3.  Shilling? Hardly.  Of course I own the coins I talk about. Why would you listen to someone that DOESNT?  Now, do I think anyone here is going to buy a six figure stake in any of these coins?  Is the market REALLY gonna move because you put 10-100-1000 into one of these.  No.  I am only sharing my opinion and knowledge.

4.  No. You should not. But you SHOULD do some research on these coins yourself.  I took $50K and ripped it to a bit over 3M in 7 years and YES some was BTC, but the last 2M was made with altcoins.

WHY ARE YOU SHARING THIS INFO?

Full disclosure?  Twofold.  1) I believe in giving back.  2) I and 3 people that are VERY well known. Are launching an ICO in March.  I cannot divulge the investors at this time, but feel free to bookmark this and come back to it. You will know who they are.  I just want to help people make some money before we launch.  I figure heck - if I can help you make some soid choices, then wouldn't you feel more comfortable investing in our ICO in March, not just because some celebs and well known nerd are investing in it?

Without further ado:

THE TOP CYPYTOS UNDER $1 YOU NEED TO INVEST IN ARE (in not particular order)

1. FUNFair - great team, great product, great communication.  Too many coins, but a burn is coming.  They are on schedule and have a better product then competitors.

2. BAT - I am part owner of a digital ad agency.  This is going to be a game changer.  They need to get the browser they are pushing adopted, which is going to be an issue.  BUT if they can partner with Chrome (they will as an extension) this is going to see a HUGE jump.

3. Edgeless - they guys are the leader in online casinos.  Limited coins, 1st mover, and on point.  They will be opening their own casino in 2 Q 2018.  Only issue is, the graphic kinda suck.  BUT thats an easy fix.

4. Ripple - Yes I said it. RIPPLE. There are several banks in talks with Ripple as we speak.  3 counties are going to be creating their own digital currency in 2018-2019 and (yet to be spoken about. THEY ALL ARE GOING OT USE RIPPLE) They have the potential for a 6 Trillion market cap. Boring. Yes.  True Altcoin, not really.  But hey - its gonna make you money.

5. Monetha - Like all ICOs, this was a pump and dump. BUT its got a very solid team with a former PayPal executive.  They have 4 competitors in the space, but these guys have the best team and the best roadmap.  Who knows if they can pull it off, but if anyone can - these guys are the long term winner IMO

6. IOTA - is this a headache right now? YES.  Lots of coins? YES.  But its fundamental the best tech out there.  3 years, 4-7x ROI.

7. AVENTUS - Another ICO that was huge then has been dropping. Its not under $1 now, but...it will be.  If it hits .99, BUT the shit out of it.  They solve a real problem in a shape that hasn't gotten any further evolved since 2008.  If they gain ANY traction they will be acquired by ticketmaster.  You heard it here first.

8.  SIA - its shit.  Sorry to say.  Its a loser.  Solely because there are 2 other project coming in the next 3 months with a better, faster solution and with a better team, less tokens and better relationships.  SIA is shit. Just wanted to let you know - again.

9. Maidsafe - lts out there on this.

10.  Bitquence - very under the radar.  TONS of potential. Im not as wild on this as Suppoman is (and that dilldo should disclouse the number of token he was given to shill the coin) but regardless, its a top 10.

10B) Golem - looking for 100x in 6 months?  Go find an ICO. Golem is solid. Ambitious, yes. but still solid.  Go long on them.  Its the biggest longshot of all these projects IMO, but also the biggest game changer that is not going to be overcome by a NEW tech.  I has sustainability and if it gains mass adoption - it really is a cool project.

BTW - Bitcoin, is gonna hit $10k by April of 2018. Why? Because I know things you don't know.  Listen to me, dont listen to me - I dont care.

MORAL OF THE STORY.
Look for coins with utility and value but also a GREAT TEAM. Above and beyond all A GREAT TEAM.  F$%K I cannot stress that enough. GREAT teams can take bad ideas or a project that is going no where and turn it into something beautiful.  I was involved in a little project called THE POINT. Its sucked - we blew threw $2M, but then we changed what wasn't working and added to what did.  2 years later we had a little company called Groupon.

Just saying.

GREED IS GOOD Mother F&%kers!
Love ya

Thanks for the suggestions, I haven't invested in the altcoins that you have recommended, but  I went through some and I think that they are interesting, have great potential and are worth investing in. I will read more about them, probably I might consider investing in one or two coins.

LOL. You were a lucky idiot as others mostly were, if you think these tokens are good. Some of them are even pure scams others are just ideas that won't have any real world use. I'm sorry but half of those picks are horrible.

This is a bit of a contradiction, isn't it ?
Why do we NEED to invest in SIA when you tell us its shit?
He is being very clear to not invest in SIA, at the end of the day you are the one that needs to take the decision whether to invest or not, the intention of the op is to help people and he thinks he is helping people not only by saying what he thinks are the best investments in crypto but also what he thinks is not a good investment it is that simple.

Exactly, the OP makes a new idea or topic about the world of cryptocurrency which is the OP makes an analysis of everything that exists in cryptocurrency and summarizes some good ones and has some degree of vulnerability. But it's all back to each of us, because sometimes someone's analysis is different from the analysis we do. So, it's better to use it only for comparison sites and then we consolidate to do what we believe

I agree that Granny will never buy her groceries with BTC. But you probably agree that
the whole generation of Granny will - with a few exceptions - be dead sometime
in the next 10-20 years. Younger generations are much more tech-savvy than
the Granny generation.

I would measure mainstream adoption in terms of transactions per day.
Currently we are roughly averaging 250k transactions per day according to:
https://blockchain.info/de/charts/n-transactions

I would argue that BTC hit mainstream adoption when we see multiple million
transactions per day on average.
