For me it's a yes, bitcoin has a role to play in the future. Being a world known cryptocurrency with an increasing popularity, it will continue to grow in the future. As the world almost powered by technologies and most of the people wanted shortcuts.Looking for just a click in every transactions to be processed or any goods to be bought bitcoin is the best answer.And instead of using real wallet with plenty of coins and fiat to be counted ,there's already a digital currency in which you can see right away how much left in your bitcoin wallet.As technologies continue to grow and developed, bitcoin transactions become easier and for me time will come everyone will accept it as an asset and worth to keep and grow.

I think it will have or play such a big role in the future but it will take too many process because we know that even bitcoin is accepted, other countries ban bitcoin because they believe that maybe bitcoin will use to some fund crimes or terrorist activity, and this reason may affect the role of bitcoin in future. Why not? Actually it does already played a role in our economy worldwide at this moment. It already entered different kinds of businesses and it will continuous to grow. Though certain countries banned them for their own reasons there were still several countries that still supporting and using bitcoins as a means of transacting to other people. Maybe in the future it may have more influence that what you are seeing today.
