holy shit its happening! Abstract Coin forks!    Shocked

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=219516.0

with enough hero members at the start and in the chain it will lent is legitimacy

also double confirmations would secure the chain better and avoid sock puppets
agreed

I believe this crazy idea might just work!
maybe we should maybe create a new forum of our own, exporting the quote chaine should be really easy.
and it would add legitimacy to Abstract Coin

Abstract Coin FTW!

to work you need to be able to back up the quote chain easily otherwise is too easily lost

but how would you know the (value) in first bracket!
I dont want o have to add up the wallet for some one else
also this is going to be come hard to check integrity more than 10 blocks deep

Based on previous transactions. If you have multiple block explorers to compare with, you can find out what the previous value is. Also, the original transaction protocol had a different look. This is just a rehash of all the current transactions.

this difficulty needs to be overcome with some new way of making transactions, that will make it easier to keep track & verify a user's balance.

How to keep track of user balances?

 lets say a transactions looked like this

                                                    /---amount of coins i'm sending
 thats my name!----\                       |
|Sub|AC8DG84KD|AdamStgBit ---(0.1)->jubalix|Add|ACICAHJFKJ|
      ^                                                                        \_____  jubalix wallet ID
      |___ wallet i am sending coins from

if you search "|Add|ACICAHJFKJ|"
we'll see all the coins that were sent to him.

if you search "|Sub|ACICAHJFKJ|"
we'll see all the coins that were sent from him.

if you search "|ACICAHJFKJ|"
we'll see all the coins that were sent too & from him.

in other news, I only have 0.2AC left, and my head hurts!   Tongue

Abstract Coin is a community driven coin! Because the core protocol is underdevelopment, this is true now more than ever. The community is everything, Abstract Coin will require a few highly trusted community members in order to function properly. I hope to built such a community and see Abstract Coin flourish. The goal we should be working toward is getting the protocol trustworthy enough so that we feel comfortable giving  Abstract Coin a market cap, even if it just 1BTC its a start! I think Abstract Coin validates the power of bitcoin.

express your interest in joining our community and you will be awarded some coins!

ok I like it, though why we can't use (-) and (+) rather than add and sub

also I kinda liked the return address notation to remain, as you can see totals of what sender has ans is easy for sender to include

this idea can work as long as the string can be easily pulled appart for a program to confirm a valid chain. Then your set.

|-|(0.200)AC8DG84KD|AdamStgBit (0.1)------>|+|jubalix|ACICAHJFKJ|

or

(m)(200)AC8DG84KD|AdamStgBit (-100)------>(m)(+100)|jubalix|ACICAHJFKJ|

(u) defines transaction notation

maybe better

on this note I may make 2 wallets now

should we aslo institute m,u,n notation now

milli
micro
nano

I think a "Leader Board" would be a good idea... we can update it every so often when someone sells or gives away a large % of his holdings to a new member.
i will implement this shortly!  Cheesy

disputes are taken to the core members and they vote on how to resolve the dispute
filing a dispute will cost 0.0009AC ? ?  ...subject to change  ( this AC will be evenly distributed to the core members that bother to vote on the matter )
ya thats how disputes work now  Grin

i'm glad we didn't have to file a dispute, please send it back thanks or  wtv lets just not have it included in the chain  Smiley

Actually I probably have enough AdamStgBit to buy them off now, as I can offer them more!

I think, though confusing, or a you need to set a protoccol called |testname| and anything going to |testname| is a null transaction.

further transactions however they happened should be absolute, it will add more value, there is no appeal (this fork anyway).
