WHY IS THERE EVIL IN THE WORLD?

Sometimes I read the news and I feel powerless. There are hundreds of people leaving home to join the radical militant groups every week. What can we even do in the face of such situations? How can peace ever be achieved? It is not clear what our role is in a conflict that in many ways is over and above us.

Yes I know how you feel, I feel the same way too. We can start with a small and simple thing. For example : smile to other people, help them, always be positive to anyone, plant a tree, pray, social service, and the most important thing is... we should change ourself to a better person. You must understand that, a lot of people want to change the world, but only few that want to change themself.

As what Einstein said, "cold does not exist, its just the absence of heat, as well as evil, it doesn't exist, its just the absence of God." People do evil things because God is not in them. They know the truth that there is a God, they know the truth that God does not want evil, but they choose to ignore Him, They choose to close their eyes and ears so they can continue to do evil. People know what evil is, they know that what they are doing is evil, but still they choose to do it because God is not with them.

I think the existence of evil is to examine us whether we do what is commanded to us and we avoid to do what is forbidden based on our religion.

Evil is fun to fight 

Evil is existing because they came here to test us. They are the Lord's enemy. They test everyone for us to know what path should we choose. They even tested Jesus before. I believe that they are around for many reasons. They tease us to do bad things because they are happy to destroy us. They know how God loves us so much and they always hinder us from being close to God.

Because being evil and doing bad things is the easier path in life. Some people opt for that path and dont think about the consequences. Others see the long term vision that the bad path holds and they veer away from it.

Honestly speaking what young person wouldnt want money, power, and status in society? Evil and bad things generally lead to attaining those 3 things earlier in a life but the only question is at what cost? The cost is usually

your life or putting a massive hindrance on your life. The benefits simply do not justify the means for me.

Agreed with what you said. But first we need to ask ourselves whether any evil remains within us or not. The first step must be the cleansing of evil from our mind and body. Only after we get ourselves freed from the evil, we can remove the evil from the society. But the second step is not a voluntary process. There will be some evil individuals who can't be reformed.

i think The reason there’s evil in the world is not because of God, but because God gave us the freedom to choose. Now the potential for love outweighs the existence of evil, because you see, evil is only going to exist for a short time, but love is going to go on forever. And all of the suffering and all of the death that we see in the world today are the result because man has chosen to make wrong choices.

I think Because Life on earth cannot ever be a flawless paradise,always there are only two possible alternatives good or bad.The Muslim believes that evil exists, and Afflictions can also help individuals return to the obedience of God. Sometimes it is beyond common sense, because love can make a person become malicious.

Evil is in the nature of human at birth, so dont ask why there is, but evil can be prohibited by doing good deeds. There is always bad in every good things.

Its simple when there is positive power the negative power automatically exist to make the balance.
In a same way that to make the balance of things both power exists positive as well as negative, where there is love there is war.
Same as god exists where as evil exists to make the balance of the world.

Evilness is merely a perception. What people thing is not right is evil, but again there are people who thinks differently.

Evil cannot be completely eradicated from this world, Good and Evil will always be in balance eternally. To make it simple, imagine yourself being good all the time, and not having evil thoughs, deeds, or temptations in your life, can you live with it. Ofcourse not, this is what defines a human being.
