If tokens are Waves-based ones, instead, you can donwload chrome plug-in for Waves and save tokens there.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I have gone through this thread and came to know that before storing the ICO we have learned about which contract they are launching whether it is Ethereum, waves etc. So according to that, we can store them in desired supporting wallets.

It's always MEW except if it is wave-based, nem-based or on other blockchain platforms.

MyEtherWallet is probably your best bet  Cool

for sure, and as extra security can be linked with ledger nano.
and MyEtherWallet supports ERC20 tokens most of the tokens are compatible with him.

myetherwallet can be a good soluyion but some of ico coins is not ethereum based so they will recommend you their own wallet or another wallet. I think you should read all details on whitepaper of ico which do you want to invest

Blockchain can hold ICO token ?

You can't store token on blockchain, blockchain is the online wallet for bitcoin
it is not available for the tokens.
Myetherwallet or metamask is good to store your tokens.

Personally I store the most of my ETH tokens from ICO in Myetherwallet.since it is one of the best etherium wallet. The dashboard is very easy to use, fast and secure. You can also use myetherwallet with hardware wallet like Trezor or ledger nano wallet so it can be more secure but even with theses hardware wallets MEW still the best wallet available for us. I use MEW for 3years now and I still never have problem with it

The best and most secure option for storing erc20 tokens based on ethereum blockchain is ladder nano s at the moment. No of online wallets are secure only with hardware wallet you can be sure about your security

What you are trying to refer to is "Ledger Nano S".

From my personal experience, I have only used MyEtherWallet(MEW)(https://www.myetherwallet.com) and had no problem whatsoever. Just you need to pay attention to the website url you visit, because there have been many phishing clones of the website to take away your coins. It is better to bookmark the website.
Other more secure methods are to use hardware wallets like ledger or trezor.

Myetherwallet is the best man and i have to say its very common as well to store the ether tokens....weather you earn from bounties or get by investing in the ICO's myetherwallet is the first option..and later you can transfer them when your tokens are tradable on the exchanges.
