I don't think so. If amazon publish in media that they accept bitcoin as payment and used in their transaction it good. Hoping that matter will make implemented by the amazon this october for easiest transaction for all client of amazon.

But if ever it will come true it will surely give a huge impact to the promotion of bitcoin and all cryptocurrency in the whole world.

I've been hearing this story for a long time, Actually it is not possible cause Amazon is a Giant selling site and the worth of bitcoin is Incredible Volatile.

It is just a rumor, and most likely a false one. The story was originally posted by a well known crypto-currency enthusiast in Steem or Reddit. And he posted a few screenshots as evidence, and the word "Bitcoin" was not found in any of these documents. I still believe that there is zero chance that Amazon may accept Bitcoin in the next 5 years.

I believe that they are only rumors with no solid basis. Anyway for amazon to accept payments in Btc, minimum must had past at least 5 years, but above all Btc should be legally accepted in large part of the world thus demonstrating its solidity as coin.

It's just rumour, i don't know where it come because people are suddenly talking about this rumour and make confusing title of in their topic.
there's no press, no news, or anything else. merely a rumour which created of nowhere.

It's just a rumor so I won't believe it until there is official word. I'm not expecting it to happen this soon anyways. But Amazon accepting bitcoin would probably be THE BIGGEST positive to happen to bitcoin. If Amazon were to accept it that would shut up all the people that say bitcoin isn't money, because through Amazon you could buy anything with bitcoin, therefore Bitcoin would be an accepted form of money if everyone's eyes.

This will eventually happen, I just don't think it will happen yet. And when it does the price is gonna absolutely skyrocket!

Thanks to that clarification and I really be on hesitant on clickable links this days that's why I haven't read the article he is talking about.. My friend got scammed through a link being sent to him and I don't know what exactly happened because his not online for past few days.. I don't know if it is phishing or any other kind of malware.. I hope amazon if not 5 years to be implemented 6-10 years after that..

Thanks for bringing this up. I offered to make a bet that Amazon would accept BTC within 18 months. I still think they will. One of the reasons for volatility, imo, is it's investment status, rather then exchange medium. Amazon could greatly enhance the exchange side of the cryptocurrency.

Everything will depend on the success of Bitcoin. Right now, only around 10 million people are using Bitcoins, and most of them are passive users. The exchange rates are far too volatile. May be in the next five years, the user base will expand to 100 to 200 million users. If that happens, then Amazon, Ebay.etc will be forced to accept Bitcoin.

That's been in there companies meeting agendas for more than a year. So no this isn't a surprised and of course we believe it. All you have to do is the proper amount of research to know what's going on with companies like this. It is public information and it is not hard to get. Big company like Amazon is bound to support Bitcoin for their sales or else they will lose the customers with bitcoins .

Some huge companies that are already accpeting bitcoin like Microsoft. Besides its probably a fake news to create a pump bitcoin wont even handle the transactions again if amazon decides to use it.

there's no reason for these companies not to, at the time, there's no law forbidding the use of bitcoin, and it only serves to profit them. more payment options just means more people able to pay, and they know bitcoin fanatics will just buy something for the sake of buying something off amazon or wherever with bitcoin. it's a move that only makes sense and furthers their own interests (money).

i'd disagree, bitcoin or not, i dont think amazon would stand to lose customers if the proposition was denied; they're a well established company serving the interests of millions of people, and if the bitcoin integration proposition is denied, nothing changes. it's not as if theyve taken anything away. however, implementing it does have the potential to attract a larger audience, and that would translate into more income for the company and its stockholders, it's a win - win and they've only to gain from doing so.

That would be great! I would be able to spend my Bitcoin without intermediary. There is one company in my country which accepts payments with Bitcoin and after that they make a wire transfer whenever I want. Unfortunately, they only send money in my local currency. It's still really useful because I can pay my bills and order some electronics equipment thank to them. I don't need to use exchange anymore.

I believe it. Cause Bitcoin is coming very popular all around the world and there are some countries that legalized Bitcoin and accepted it for payment. Beside Bitcoin is very secure that why there are a lot of people that prefer pay in bitcoin to cash. That is a unverified rumor, and I don't personally think that would be possible considering all the regulations in place in certain countries.
Moreover how could Amazon declare its profits? 200 BTC in profits today equals roughly 8000 dollars but what would happen tomorrow if the trend dive or surge?
