There is no such requirement as of now.  Once snapshot is complete and distribution is done then you can think about this.  If you want to view your wallet on MEW then you'll need to add as custom token, on Ethplorer or Etherscan, it should show regardless.

Everyone have balance >0.1 ETH will get this airdrop. However, it does not proportion to ETH balance. They use algo to give more coin to ETH address with small balance.
