I would like to know (read some text somewhere) on how to set up 2 Factor verification.

I know nothing about 2 Factor, I don't have or use Gmail.

Where can I find directions ?  The BitFunder website has nothing and just assumes everyone knows what to do.

thanks

Hi there,

We are working on putting a proper guide together.
What you would need to do is download 'Google Authenticator' if you have an Android phone and simply scan the QR code.
If you are using iPhone or Windows phone you will need one of the other apps for that.

Once you scan in the QR code, enter the 6 digit code into the settings page to confirm enabling it.
From then on, when you log in the site will require you to enter the 6 digit code generated by the app.

Hope this helps,
Ukyo

Then you don't have an android phone/smartphone and don't get to install the app at all. It requires a smartphone.

There is always the option of using a desktop based google authenticator even if it does kinda beat the point of it.

Also, if you can't scan the QR code, the key that you are supposed to write down that is directly below the QR can generally be manually entered.

I think this was already mentioned but candlestick charts are essential if you want to attract more serious investors, they are standard in the real world securities industry.

Hello! Ukyo, I got a problem here. I enable the Google 2-factor verification and forget to disable it temporarily when I change the phone. Now I cannot log in BitFunder anymore and according to the website help I should contact with you via IRC channel. But I've been there for three days with the password reset code and didn't meet you there. So I hope you could tell me how to solve the problem. Any help will be highly appreciated!

You should always save encrypted the secret code or QR code used to generate the 2FA in case you lost your phone or wherever you hold the 2FA.
