Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold"

I think its because of this upcoming fork that bitcoin's price is on the rise while every other altcoins ( except ripple) are falling. I hope that bittrex will support this new hard fork , so far they haven't said anything.
Btw there are many people online saying that Bitcoin Gold is a scam , what do you guys think?

Successful like BCC?? Really?? It is just another attempt to make a lot of profit by using the "bitcoin'' added to its name to attract more fools to invest.

I'm pretty sure that the recent Bitcoin price increases are not related to Bitcoin Gold. BTG is, in my opinion, too insignificant.

The reasons I guess that are more relevant for the price increase:
- hopes that the November Segwit2x fork won't occur, or that it will be "weaker" and less dangerous than some feared (including me)
- some buys for "free coins", but related more to S2x than to BTG,
- and finally, the market wants to re-test the $5000 high, as it's already very close.

I don't think if Bitcoin gold will succesfully and i do not even know if BCC is succesfully too. Mostly people are only interested with Bitcoin. So both coin just clone of BTC.

Not really a clone, they will be using a different algo, equihash, just like Zcash.
So Bitcoin Gold will be even more decentralised, as in the common people will be able to mine with their GPU's again, so it won't be controlled by the mining farms (asics) like with Bitcoin Core.

Well I have not experienced the BCC hard fork because I joined this forum Aug. I have read about it when I am starting to learn how this forum works.
The upcoming fork is the first fork that I will be experiencing.
As I have read BCC failed to gain popularity. It was already dying when it was released. I think that the fork approaching will be the same.

what i did learn:

when you hear about the fork, do not sell all other coins to move your money in the coin that forks.
like here with btc, many people did and almost all alts went down.
so you make about 30% loss to maybe get 10% with the fork?
i know many people lost their money that way...

It's pretty good thing to have more BTC before the fork done so that we can get more bitcoin gold as return and we might gonna earn huge just like wit BCC where the value of it per piece is expensive. And expect for the bitcoins to get rage since many people are holding and price might go pump hard since I believe there's no people thinking upon selling there hodl coin just because of the bitcoin gold.
