Just a question, Are there are any existing movies related to/about bitcoin? How much do you think will it affect the interest of those people who doesn't know bitcoin?

I would love to see movies related to bitcoin just like The Wall Street, Boiler Room, Inside Job, Wolf of Wall Street, etc.

Yeah you can surely search for it on google and it will surely caught your attention with the many things it can provide you but there are movies that partially mentioned bitcoin in a particular scene and that movie is not particularly about bitcoin I think you should try to watch Dope and search in what scene it can be mentioned, but the thing that caught my attention is the deep web movie that would simply think about bitcoin not the same way again, because some people would use bitcoin in their criminal acts and illegal ways.

Yes, I advise you to watch a movie or read the book "Digital Gold". You will like it very much and you will find answers to many questions there. About how the crypto-currency was born, its formation over the past years and what it is predicted by the future. Very fascinating story. I advise everyone for general education.

I've seen a movie about bitcoin. but tells the story of a hacker who manipulates his money on a bitcoin wallet. yes the crimes they use on the online world, and they launder money in bitcoin amounts.

I would rather watch a video about the way miners mined bitcoin because for me it's always fun seeing the way they mined bitcoin with all their equipment. But I would to try to search a movie like you say next times

The problem is that topics like Bitcoin become controversial enough that film makers don't feel like just writing pure information anymore.  They feel like writing "Bitcoin is good, look at how cool and rebellious it is, you hate the government right?" or "Bitcoin is stupid, it's not even real money", etc.

Obviously they don't do this directly but it reaches a point at which people try to exaggerate things to appeal to the general public.

You're better off looking at more informational sources like bitcoin.org for example.

Yes, there are absolutely a whole bunch of movies that has parts or scenarios talking about bitcoins. Sadly, they only give so little time or very short scenes that display topics about bitcoins and worse is that most of the time, they display nothing but bad things about crypto currencies and often connect it with criminal activities that does nothing but just fuel the reasons of people why they don’t want to get into the crypto world. Plus, they give too little information about it. Which is pretty upsetting if you ask me, because I love crypto currencies and really hate to see people spitting out bad things about it and they mostly show just short parts of it in movies. I would really love to see a movie that has bitcoins or crypto currencies as the main topic in the movie. That would be really cool.

"Bitcoin is the most disruptive invention since the Internet, and now an ideological battle is underway between fringe utopists and mainstream capitalism. I don't know is there any bitcoin related movies in the whole world . Bitcoin is illegal in many countries . So many countries dont know about it and only a few people knows about it . But i think if a bitcoin related  film makes a lot of people will know about bitcoin and will encourage them to involve in bitcoin .

There are many interesting movies available, but you need to search on Youtube or google if you want to watch it and i am sure that you will end with good results. I have just watch one movie on bitcoin and it was the  BITCOIN HEIST. It is a vietnamese action movie that mixes bitcoin with little bit of action and suspense. There are other movies too like DOPE and DEEP WEB. I didn't watch them but i came to know that they did a decent job in Film industry. Came to know that there are chances to see few more movies soon by 2019 .

Wondering if they are Hollywood made movies. I had always assumed that Hollywood would never promote cryptocurrency related subjects.

No but would love to see them if they have.Definitely in future we will see movies which shows transactions of bitcoins purchasing some illegal things.But a complete movie may not be possible.A short film or directories may possible.
If I hold bitcoins like 10000 and when the value of it becomes 100000$ I will do a movie no matter who watch it and I name it 'Bitcoin Billionaire'.

Films about bitcoin are very cool, because through the video it's much easier to perceive information. However, all that I saw had enough conflicting information, and I did not like any of the films so much to advise him.
I hope that after watching the films that were suggested here on the forum, they will not disappoint me.

I have never heard of there being a legitimate Bitcoin movie made yet, but have read a lot of people who want one. I think it will be unbelievably amazing, if done correctly.

There aren't any movies or documentaries that are actually interesting that relate to Bitcoin from what I remember, I know I did some similar hunting back after watching The Big Short and Wolf of Wall Street but I came up with nothing. Maybe something has changed at some point but I wouldn't be able to give you any good information on it.

There have been a few that exist on YouTube, from what I've seen, talking about some people who own businesses and the like, but they don't really go into any more depth than that. It's very surface-level stuff mostly.
