You are not giving people something valuable. You are only swapping old coins to new tokens with a certain rate. Even if you give 20,000 tokens for each old token, there is no difference.

I totally get your point and I am also sure that they won't manage to get all old ERC20 tokens out of circulation. But nevertheless this buy-back program is a nice idea in my opinion. And it won't have that big influence on the prive of the Erc-20 tokens. The price will probably settle at 1/20 of the native SPTHX.

The thing is, you are not able to deposit or withdraw SPHTX ERC-20 token on any exchange. Thats why SPHTX ERC-20 tokens are obsolete and the only thing, what you can do with them is to switch for the new ones with the Buyback program.

People can trade tokens on decentralized exchanges like forkdelta as long as the tokens have not been locked by the team. I have seen some tokens that are locked by the team before listing on centralized exchanges.

Exactly. VAP is a method where someone pays the fee on behalf of the user, making it pretty easier. Of course, there is something charged for the service of making it easier. It is just an option: somecompanies may prefer to use it, whereas some other companies may prefer not.
