Been having the following issue: Initialized a new Trezor today using trezor.io. wallet is password protected. Sent some satoshis to it and trezor.io shows the transaction.
in an effort to be sure trezor.io isn't my only option, I tried to access that wallet using electrum. Used the following procedure:
File -> New/Restore -> standard wallet -> use hardware device and used the standard wallet address m/44'/0'/0' and all transactions are shown for what trezor.io calls the 'legacy' account.
Most of my bitcoins are in trezor.io main account. I did the above procedure using wallet address m/49'/0'/0' as per this discussion on reddit, still no balance or transactions shown in electrum:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/6y9doe/segwit_wallets/I checked the xpub addresses from trezor.io and electrum and the last 4 digits match, so I assume they're generating the same info. For some reason electrum doesn't load the balance and has the magic character error as mentioned above.
