Awesome news even there was little delay happened to make this launch smoothly but the team came with honest statement and worked so hard to make it fix asap. This is just beginning of the new era and now it will achieve more big milestone and success.

Big news of the day just came out early in the morning. Excellent work guys ! You showed that when some team decide to complete any project with dedication they can deliver in limited time frame great things. You deserves great appreciation for keeping the promise up highly professionally.

Really good news, I did get a bit worried with all the FUD and the delay. Glad I held on to my coins. Oyster should have a good run later this year.

Ok, well done Oyster team. I will apologize about the stuff I wrote yesterday, about Oyster being a scam.

I will delete it if I can but it was your own fault for letting your community wait so long.

What are you talking about? They sent out a message letting us know it would be delayed a bit. Overall their communication has been superb. The same for Oyster Shell  Smiley

It's okay that is normal reaction when someone have huge expectation but suddenly he saw some unexpected news. But patience is a virtue I believe this will move to its place where it be after achieving this great milestone.

This is a throw of punch to those who think OYSTER is a scam. Bruno block never disappoints us with his promise regarding the mainnet launch.

Next week we have to see Oyster Pearl participating in Montreal P2P meetup about the project and also listing on one more trading platform today took place. I have read the blog released with launch of main net and upcoming upgrades in capacity and function will be helpful for PRL to see larger scale adoption and bringing more businesses and people on the board. For the moment it is big day for everyone who is involved with teh project as developer or investor. Thumbs up for the team for their work !

I'm a bit new to the understanding of blockchain.  Can someone explain what is the mechanism of storing data into blockchain and how to retrieve the data from the blockchain? I am seeing a lot of code of the PRL project in Github but unable to understand the mechanism.

Thanks

You need to navigate through few previous pages to see the videos links or website is best and direct source to watch those videos to understand how and what is all about. Until you don't read those updates and explanatory material can't understand by others words. I will insist you to do little effort to watch and read at the same time.

Just uploaded and downloaded my first file using the Oyster-storage. History has been written.  Grin

And to all the haters that were raging when the mainnet was delayed 2 days ago: I hope you sold all your PRL yesterday to someone who appreciates the project more.

Oyster isn't forcing you to disable ads on your websites entirely. Adblockers are still a problem - and if you are given the choice to 1) disable your adblock and see ads; 2) pay a subscription OR 3) use Oyster - then I would always chose the lase one.

How long have websites been beta testing the web-monetization? I read the other day that websites were testing even before the MainNet release?

it’s been around 4 days, do I take your silence as a hint that your intention is just to spread fud or do you claim to have a rationale basis for argumentation?

They won't share a public list of beta tester. It's in everybodies interest to get a real-life scenario during beta testing, since we want to find out how many people opt-in to perform PoW - since if there's no opt-in, they won't become a web node. If we publish those websites, it would influence the evaluation of the beta testing.

Is there a study of the revenue comparison between putting ads and adding oyster pearl code on a website?
