With Hackers/scammers/phishers becoming more clever, It's better to take necessary steps to ensure that funds are safe at all times. I'm sure OP was using an ERC20 token wallet. Maybe, Just Maybe, someone got access to the location you store your private keys

Any more info? Were you using a VPN? Any experts out there care to chime in, would using a VPN have stoped something like this?

I suggest anyone out there reading should turn 2FA  for their gmail accounts, or even better U2F which gmail allows.

$ 550K is a big number. I guess you're not lucky bro. I hope you can get better in the future.

Thanks but that only works if you're holding your coins for a long time. What do you do if you want to trade?

Very unfortunate, but storing such huge amount on a mobile and using public wifi, very careless. Hopefully everyone learns a lesson from this and be more cautious.
Mobile wallets are the least safe I think, especially when on travel.

Oh man that is awful. I'm so sorry for you to have lost all that. I would really recommend everything everyone else has already said but would highly emphasize getting a trezor or other offline wallet to avoid this from happening again

If the wallet was blockchain.info I believe it's not its fault. Yet where did you keep all these coins you mentioned? Were those different wallets or even an exchange website? Maybe you just entered your password on the clone of legit website? Jeez, I don't know what happened here but it really sucks. Was anybody else hacked on the wallet(s) you used? If yet then you could try filing a complaint to FBI online if the owner of the wallet is known. Tell us more about your story, maybe something can be done...

use ledger nano s/ trezor - the safest way how to store your coins !!!

I am sorry for your losses, $500,000 is a huge amount and thinking of it hurts.
Thank you for the warning, I will think twice before connecting to public website.

Does anyone know whether a hardware wallet will be safe in this case?
