So I am trying to do some calculations to figure out what the fastest and cheapest ways are to buy bitcoins.
Here's what I've come up with so far:
Bank Account --> Dwolla --> CampBX; Cost = 0.25 USD, Time = 3 days (for ACH) eBay Purchase via PayPal, Cost: Astronomical (about 40-60%); Time = hours Cash --> BitInstant --> (various); Cost = 1-2%; Time = about 90 minutes
So it looks like ACH to CampBX is cheapest for buying BTC and Bitinstant is the quickest.
Anyone care to add anything to the list that might be cheaper or quicker than I what I've come up with?

If you are UK resident: https://bitbargain.co.uk/I bought several times there using Bank Transfer (there are some other options for Barclays Bank and Natwest Bank customers called Pingit and Natwest PYC respectively). It has never taken more than 10 min to receive my BTC. They don't charge anything when you buy. Prices start from Mt.Gox average up to 2-3% above it. If you want most offers visit them evening time (GMT).

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

It's really annoying that there is not a cheap escrow service. I have a couple of BTC for sale but I just do not want to end up out of pocket. It's a shame there's scammers out there that just rip everyone off and ruin it

Cash to BTC via Bitinstant will cost you more than 1-2%. You are looking at 4% plus the $3.95 fee on top of that.
Still, it is probably the best method for someone new to the game. I bought hundreds of coins via Bitinstant last year and it was usually easy as can be.

Hi guys,
I need to buy BTC/LTC and other alts in a continous basis. I need to pay them with credit card or paypal. I need someone to sell me btc and other coins on a regular basis and volume.
We can do very small transactions so you make sure everything is fine and build a trust relationship.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I heard OKPay wasn't working with US residents. I haven't tried, though.

In the UK at this point in time, the best and cheapest way is generally through p2p exchanges such as Bitbargain or Localbitcoins.
There is a new site up called Bittylicious but they averaging around 8% above gox and you can get for around 2-4% on these two platforms above.
Anyone know of other methods to buy coins if you live on this island commonly known as the united kingdom?

You're right, they are not. Government tyranny here in America is getting worse. I dont know where else to buy bitcoins.

www.circle.comI wouldn't necessarily call this a good way to use a CC to buy bitcoin as you have to pay ~3% to the issuing credit card company and would pay interest right away instead of having the normal grace period before interest is charged
