Easy for you to talk like that, you are not the one risking your entire life's savings by investing only on 5, 10 Bitcoins to see how even %3 price fluctuation affects your whole life, for some body like me, a no body even buying 1 Bitcoin is heavy, only hope I've got is for the coins I either bought way before or earned ever since. even with small balance I nearly cry when price dumps too much and too fast, and jump pussies when it rises. lol second part is almost true.

Given you said it is a large investment then I wouldn't do it. Scale it back and invest a smaller amount. BTCs horizon looks fairly good but no one can no for certain what the price will be by the year end so it is always better to be cautious with your money.

No one here can tell you anything of value here, it's only people saying that it will go up to whatever levels, or that it will go down. You have to look at what potentially can be an obstacle to temporarily halt Bitcoin's growth, and the hard fork in November is definitely one of these obstacles. If I was you, I would buy just 1 BTC at most at current levels, and have the rest of your money aside for when the price happens to go down. It will lower your overall risk exposure, and allow you to benefit from both up and down directions. Up means you already have bought 1 BTC. Down means that you can buy more at even lower levels.

If you have to ask others for information when it comes to investing a big chunk of your money into Bitcoin, I can only advice you to not invest at all. You clearly show signs of a person who doesn't know what he's investing in.

Another impression you give me is that you are looking to make a short term gain for whatever reason, and especially when you don't know much about this market, it can only result in a bit disappointment.

At the end of the day, it's all up to you. If you want to proceed anyway, then at least accept the risks of your short term gamble. Yes, I said gamble, because that's basically what it is ~ there is no other name to put to it.

We are making amazing strides back to the ATH we were recently at. Nothing can stop us now, not even all of Asia banning bitcoins lol. Just look at all of those daily green candles. We're in a permabull market with dips here and there when major FUD comes out.

Bitcoin is now above 4800, I wonder what they are going to come with now that bitcoin is getting closer to the all time high, the China FUD cannot get any stronger, they banned icos, banned some exchanges, their only FUD left is to say they are going to ban bitcoin.

Current price is now close to 5k$ level. If price can pass this resistance level it will be new support level and buyers will accumulate orders under new support level.In case of panic selling after BTC price touching 5k$ level new wave will last till expected fork. So many investors already exchanged ethereums to bitcoin for taking advantage of fork. Huge buy orders appeared on markets and this can be sign of continuity wave of last uptrend channel. IMO price will keep it's positive impulse and try to attack for higher levels where sell stops accumulated.

Just think about the floor price of bitcoin and it's possible that it will go at $5,000 and this is the floor price. So it means that will be stable there before this year ends and still don't have the figure on what can go through with it's another all time high. While it is still early, just invest now because you'll regret it when you didn't invest and you see the price of bitcoin pumping very soon.

Honestly no one know what price would it be but just speculate.  If you are in for a short term then better watch the market, I would suggest to hodl Bitcoin for another 5 years to see how much your investment grow.  The current price is driven by the upcoming fork.  People are buying to get extra bonus from the coin in the minor chain once i t hits the market.

Permabull? Don’t be too optimistic yet. Sure! A lot of greens have been giving us so much great happiness, but you should know that looking at the market presently, those greens are as a result of most people dumping their altcoins for bitcoins and that is the main reason most of the altcoins are sliding pretty fast and very bad.

Moreover, it is still a good thing for the bitcoin community as there is more trust for the currency despite the whole fork coming up and no one wants to miss the chance of having a free coin.

Well I think no one knows the actual high price of bitcoin because it depend on market trade but it is confirm that the price will go high because in Europe and also in Australia, Japan bitcoin has a strong hold now and some other countries are also going to accept bitcoin and the good thing is rich people also doing investment here so to clear now that price will go more high.

I have no doubt that most people will keep following bitcoin but at the same time if enough people decide to switch that will create an attrition war where instead of the coin disappearing fast, the segwit2x coin will probably be around for a long time and that cannot be good for bitcoin.

Eventhough bitcoin price has increased, there is a wall that need to be surpass at 4900$ it can’t be at 5000$ because of that.

Those increases has a big impact from Indian market that doubled its investors as a friend of mine stated to me yesterday. I’m still optimistic that it will go beyond 5000$ this month and more than that.

I can't see $8,000 at higher chances at the end of the year since price rise today is not purely because of usual demand. We can't erase the fact that one of the reason why price is rising continously is to take advantage of the upcoming fork.

It looks like everytime it is growing much faster, and it is always increasing, it seems like everytime that someone sees it a high price, he will feel tempted to buy, and it is really happening.. When it dropped to $3000, nobody wanted to buy, and now that it has crossed $5000, everybody is crazy waiting to invest in bitcoin, and buy some, and this is real, just look at the charts of every market.
