The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I don't know what omisego is? But I assume it's just a script kitty copy of bitcoin with similar rules. In which case there is nothing that can be done. Sorry man. Cry

With this reply of yours, you have definitely saved a soul because in situation like the one OP his, he must have been so ashamed of himself to have to created an account for that purpose. I cant imagine what is going on in him mind now especially if the fund involved is a huge amount.

I actually didnt expect the transaction to go in the first place because they technology should have recognized that its a wrong token meant for something else and if that is not happening, then that is flaw in the design originally.,

I am sorry to say this but I think it is already impossible to get back your OMG coin back to your wallet as they are already considered to be lost just like being lost in the wide and open outer space. This is the reason why we should be careful by checking twice all the details of the digital currency we are sending and make sure that the wallet where we are sending it is of the coin we are sending and not of another currency. You are not alone with this problem though so I just advise you to charge it to experience so we be very, very careful next time.

Yes, and this is why step one of any transaction of size should be to first send a small test deposit to ensure everything is working as expected. This is even more true when you are new, but even for experienced people, it is easy to make a mistake. I would rather risk 1 small $10-$20 test transaction then end up losing $1,000's because of a silly mistake.

Brother, you should have been more careful while doing the transaction. Crytpo currency transactions are risky and we should pay definite attention while making those transactions. The only thing you could do is ask the support team for assistance as they are the only ones who could help you out with this issue. Nothing other than this would help you out.

Actually it worked

Yep, it should work, as OMG is an Erc20 token, that means that you can transfer it to Ethereum addresses https://etherscan.io/tokens

Did the problem not yet to be resolved still? maybe you can please share your ETH address and BTC address so that people can take a look into it.
If you accidentally send your OMG token to your ETH address and blockchain.info didn't recognise, big chance they didn't support ERC20 token and so on.

or if you accidentally send it to your bitcoin address, well, it's impossible to be done since the address of ETH and BTC is really different. Don't know if this topic in the right section tho, supposed to be moved to altcoin section.

Thx X-ray   if it is not supporting ECR 20, my coins are lost ?
do you think that if i use my private key into a ECR 20 friendly application i will be able to see my OMG ?

I would suggest you to go to etherscan.io, insert your address in the top right side of the page.

You will see a page like this one https://etherscan.io/address/0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0
Then, click on View tokens, and you will be able to see all the tokens you have, without inserting your private key.

Alternatively, you can use MyEtherWallet and insert the private key there.

Let us know!
