Could Namecoin replace Bitcoin ?

If somebody posts a thread how could Namecoin complement Bitcoin it is removed from the discussions to the alt-currencies topic.
But if somebody posts a topic if
Ripple or Bitcoin or
Litecoin or Bitcoin
Ripple the better Bitcoin
then it seems to be just in the right place.
-----------
Now nobody wants to question that Bitcoin is the first crypto-currency but Namecoin can do everything what Bitcoin can and even more.
So why shouldn't replace it ?

Bitcoin is to big right now to replace Namecoin. Guess it could happen in a kind-of-near future.

Possible.
It is more going about why a Ripple thread with similar topic may be in the Discussion Thread but a Namecoin thread not.

Sorry. Then, IDK, maybe because there's a lot of Ripple supporters (and agents) in the forum?
