Is the world slowly turning into a Dystopia?

I think it is, and I think that from where I'm sitting (in the US, a somewhat depressed loser) I'm really isolated from it.

I'm just not buying it that our generation is solving its existential problems.

Climate Change, Corruption, Environmental Degradation, Overpopulation, Declining Health of the populace....

The only thing that seems to be advancing is technology and even that seems to be slowing down....

As it is said on ASOIAF/GOT "Winter is coming." reflects my position on our future as a generation.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I’m sorry to hear you are depressed. When a person is depressed, they often see the world as more negative than it truly is. I hope you a way to seek help and treatment.

Quite the opposite infact. Depressed people do see the world differently but they view it more realistic too. It is us non depressed people who have on rose colored glasses. Back to the OP though, I agree with the argument

you made. I say so because I too in my country am noticing a slow degradation of quality of life. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. It doesnt seem like we are going to bridge this gap anytime soon

which means your gonna have a bad time.

No. We're actually living in one of the most peaceful times in history. It can be easy to forget that the world was completely at war just a century ago, and we were already killing ourselves far before that. A little hope goes a long way friend.

A Dystopia is a distortion of the current reality.

If past dystopia becomes the norm of the present, then it is no longer a dystopia but the reality of the moment.

I love the TV series: "Black Mirror" or "Utopia". some episodes are on the border of our world.

I would say more than the world is versed in absurdity rather than in dystopia.

The absurdity brings about the dream or the horror of dystopia.

I have to endorse this view. HOWEVER, we may be very well leading to a distopia all the same. Absurdity is just the beginning of the decend.

Not yet we aren't there but we are surely trending towards there. I had this vision about 5 years ago that in 2100 we would not be living near the coasts but have shifted to mainly the inlands of countries. Not only would we lose out on all the living species, we would lose out on the amazing nature of this world which is a true disaster. It not only sucks we won't get to see this much longer but what about our kids kids? They won't get the world in the way we got it which is a travesty.
