Is it just me or the difficulty on pioneer coin already to high for gpu mining?
Difficulty is pretty high. However, I can confirm that there's been a couple of people solo mining on my pool since no one else was mining. They've hit 4 blocks now solo. You can see the stats at
http://altmining.org . However, they're using lots of GHS to do so.
not to burst anyones bubble.. Most pools now say something like this one:
https://pcoin.coin-miners.infoDon't try to mine this coin with your CPU or GPU because you get nothing is just a waste of time and electricity. The x11 coins are mined with an ASIC or by renting hash power from Nicehash or Miningrigrentals. Thanks
altmining.org shows 1 miner at 65G/hash, and nethash is currently 12,000 G/hash. adroitful_one's pool miner hash a 0.5% chance of solving a block at their speed.
a gpu GTX1080 does 15-17M/hash? at that rate you would have a 0.00014% chance of solving a block or one in every 700,000 blocks? you can make far more money with your gpu by mining something like Zcash, Eth. most profitable is maybe Bismuth at this time but it sucks to setup i hear.
Once theres asics for a coin, your just making heat and no profit with gpus. theres plenty of people who only use x11 miners for dash. but theres a whole lot of other people who use them every chance they get as soon as coins launch to speculate too. which means even on minute 1 of a new coin launch the odds are against you the second a pool is setup.
