Yes, eventually. As I know the world will run out of oil in about 100 years. So, oil prices in about 50 years will go high and having electric car will be less expensive. Nowadays Tesla is some kind of expensive toy, but in nearest future it will be the most popular car. Trust me.

Like Tesla FF91
as we know the production of fuel-fueled cars is still a lot, human needs of the car as a tool of mobility is still high.
technological progress is growing, the creation of electric cars has begun to be developed even though not in mass production because of the production cost of an electric car is also very expensive.
I think electric cars will not kill petrol cars for now, because they are all based on the users of the car itself, they certainly buy cars according to their financial circumstances and based on their tastes, there are still many people choose petrol cars instead of electric cars that have not been maximally developed .

I don't think so. If we talk about whole world. Because there are countries which are facing electricity shortage problem. So how can they afford this. It can destroy in some countries but not right now it will take some time.
There are some other issues as well. for example
If this car is exported to a third world country then what will be it's future? That country will not have expert mechanic and other related tools as well for the maintenance. So if someone got problem in car then customer can just wait for months. Because local vendor will ask customer that we have to import this part of engine or car. It will take minimum 6 to 8 weeks.
Other thing is long route problem. Will it be able to cover 1000km or more in one go. Obviously company will be working on it but customers also needs some time to get use to it.

Of course gradually superseded. I'll buy the next car - 100% only on electricity! By the way, the first in the history of car racing were among electric cars!

The petrol engine will definitely discontinued. Only it does not mean that it will be supplanted by electric cars. I do not see much progress in the modernization of existing batteries. This makes the cost of operation of electric vehicles is comparable to gasoline engine. More problems no effect. Perhaps evolution will go the way of the introduction of another fuel, but I don't know yet.

In the long term the electric car will surely replace the petrol car. That's just because oil will finish. But in the long term I think the car itself is set to disappear, at least for private and personal use. It is just not a rational way to move your body in space.

The battery of a Tesla car costs around $30,000 and it needs to be replaced every 5 years or so. The battery is the single most expensive component in the electric car. And despite all the scientific and technological progress, we have failed in bringing down the costs associated with the electric car battery. This is what prevents large-scale replacement of petrol cars by the electric cars.

Modern technologies has made the world become better now, today, we are using alternatives sources of energy to replace fossil fuel for eclectricity more and more like wind, solar, nuclear energy,... so maybe one day, all of us will use electric car to replace petrol car.

Hmmm, can you provide a link for us to read where you saw the costs of such car?

i think there would be other companies that can lower it since tesla made the battery it is expected that its expensive

No, electric cars will be more and more but petrol cars will not reduce production. For now petrol cars are still more because in addition to the amount of production more, the price is also cheaper. While electric cars for the current production is still limited and the price is also more expensive. Although for example the production of electric cars already as much as petrol cars, the expensive price can be a consideration of the buyers.

If only more people will get serious in supporting electric cars, I think it really has great potential. Our planet's fuel is getting consumed faster than the time it needs to be recreated thus we really have to try finding other alternative source of energy. If we can only revolutionize solar, water and electric powered devices like cars, then we wont have to deplete the earth's resources.

Will the electric car destroy petrol car?
There is major portion of society which will not afford the electric car. I think the electric car will make comport in our lives but there is a space available for petrol car also. Petrol is also a powerful fuel which are mostly consuming in machines.

Electric cars replacing petroleum cars will be a big help for everyone because it will be easier to afford rather than buying gas which is getting higher everytime. It would be easy to charge because electricity is everywhere.

if there is a chance to replace the petrol cars with electric ones, i think it may happen but only until something more ecology-friendly is invented.

i'm afraid there is no chance the humanity will actually use anything eco-friendly just to save the nature. we all do so to some extend but only if it's ''budget-friendly''. i mean we recycle and reduce the amount of water, for example, but we definetely won't buy an electric car as it's much more expensive.
