I believe Bitcoin was intended to spread the wealth. Decentralization is the keyword here. To read about Bitcoin being adopted in poor economies is heartwarming. To allow countries that have been exploited and or deserted by centralized authorities to have an equal footing in the global economy really makes me optimistic that Bitcoin and its community is really doing some good in this world.

Africa is covered by demand for crypto-currencies !!! Now Bitkoin.Africa allows customers from all African countries to buy bitcoins, quickly and without problems. Nigeria became the first country to exchange P2P digital assets, seeking to facilitate access to bitcoin throughout the African region. Bitkoin.Africa was launched by a team of Nigerian developers on October 1 Have a nice day, everyone! This is really good news i think, not just for bitcoin but for all kind of cryptocurrency. With this spreading, more people involve and make cryptocurrency more popular.

Africa is known to be a relatively mature market of crypto and bitcoin. I still know there are many ICO projects in Africa. Maybe the crypto market will change lives in African countries, if that happens I feel very happy.

Its a very nice market though, and hopefully more countries will finally adopt the technology of bitcoin. Bitcoin is great technology that can help develop one economy.

Is Zimbabwe in Africa? Pardon my dumbness is geography... but anyway, the last time I checked it, Bitcoin in Zimbabwe was double the price of Bitcoin in US. I will not doubt if the entire Africa will move to bitcoin very soon and leave the FIAT behind.
Did you also the check where that price was listed and what volume? It was a shady exchange with a volume of close to 2 BTC a day. That is going to take some time... Check localbitcoins for the price, there is nothing special about price in Zimbabwe , just some that really try to scam people buying at 3 times the price. That doesn't mean you can't buy at close to market levels price. Africa is known to be a relatively mature market of crypto and bitcoin.
How and please give some data on this!!! Mature? Common, let's be serious.
No it wasn't. Sorry to burst your socialist dream but bitcoin will do exactly the opposite. Those that have money now will get richer, the ones that can't afford to buy will stay poor. Bitcoin is pure capitalism and free market, not state controlled socialism

Bitcoin is pure capitalism and free market, not state controlled socialism There has been a misunderstanding. Maybe it is the phrase 'spread the wealth'. Spread the power is better way to say it. Individuals would gain power back from governments and corporations by owning and controlling their capital.

My personal belief is that Africa will be the beginning of the world domination of cryptos.. people(government) try and print money, use cryptos to maintain a balance.

Bitcoins rising price is attracting investors from all over the world, African countries are not behind in it. Due to long lasting civil wars economies of African countries are devastated. As a result developing economies are allowing trading in bitcoins. In South Africa, cryptocurrencies like BitPesa, Bitfinance are gaining popularity. In Zimbabwe, Nigeria local merchants, traders and activists believe this new money as better alternative for their collapsed economy. But remote areas still have problems like connectivity; electricity etc. so there fiat currency is the only option. Signature Campaign, a bitcoin related activity will help to generate jobs in these countries.

A simple check on Google would have told you the part of the world Zimbabwe belongs to. Zimbabwe currently has one funny and unique economic system and won't doubt if the price is even triple in that part of the world. For the entire Africa moving to bitcoin just like that is something you really need to reconsider and its even going to be faster for the advanced countries to make that happen than Africa because the infrastructure, the basic education is still behind in Africa which the other countries have gone ahead with.

Africa is suffering from unemployment and poverty. Bitcoin would be a good selection for them to increase their wealth maybe. So it's as expected when they show a great interest to bitcoin.

Yes I agree with you. Bitcoin has gained momentum in Africa especially Nigeria. Nigerians and other Africa countries now purchase and store bitcoin for various reasons and the news of bitcoin keeps spreading daily. I believe soon African government will try and adopt bitcoin and other crypto currencies.

It is really good news, both for Bitcoin and Africa. From the beginning, the idea was not only to give financial freedom, but also bank those who are not able to use modern financial services. "Bank the unbanked" is what most of us were trying to say from the very beginning. It is a sad fact that there are a lot of people who don't even have a bank account in Africa. Good news is that they no longer will need that. Because soon, Bitcoin will give them the opportunity to be their own banks.

Since the transaction fee is the same as the average monthly wage I very much doubt btc is going to be doing anything meaningful in Africa apart from allowing the rich to smuggle money out.

Good to know more people are aware about Bitcoins and joining this, however I see these new enthusiasts don't understand very well how things work here at Crypto-Currency world. They buy Bitcoins and invest in Ponzi schemes, trying to double their money in 10 days, consequently they lose all their Bitcoins and start spreading around Bitcoin is a scam, bla, bla, bla... And the "referrers" who bring these people to Crypto-Currency aren't very interested in explaining such details...

It started to become a trend and that really hyped up since the last two quarters of 2017. And in my opinion, it's momentum will continue in the year 2018. A lot of people are saying that it is a bubble and it will drop dramatically. But I think it will continue to go up throughout this year and more years to come. I even believe it can reach $60 000 or even more.

Africa is one of the biggest countries in the whole world. Actually the moment happening in Africa is pretty good. The bitcoin slowly dominating in Africa and builds its momentum to promote the cryptocurrency and their services to the people in Africa which leads them to increase the community of using bitcoin.
