They are different developers, afaik the ethereum dark is not related to the ether dark. But so many forked coin has made to get the instant interest by the traders to buy their coin in this time.
But why are you not trying to visit each of the site of project itself?

This coin is riding the coattails of Ethereum. Will be interesting to see what that announcement will be in a few days here and if this coin makes it into 2018. Got some mixed signs going on but we will know very shortly

who is right. The people calling it a scam or the people calling for the moon. Soon we know.
