In many instances people have posted "Provably Fair" on their site and they have no " Provably Fair" system in place. Your average gambler will never investigate further and they will just accept that the site is " Provably Fair ". I hope the more technical inclined gamblers will fill that loophole and test and educate the people who has no clue how this system is supposed to function.

I also hear people can implement systems that looks " Provably Fair ", but once it is tested it turns out that it is rigged. Is this true?
I dont know if someone would decide to put their time or efforts on educating most of the gamblers on how they should verify if a site is provably fair knowing that not all gamblers are tech savvy which they would really have a hard time on realizing on what are the things being mentioned on here about provably fair this is why they dont really care at all as long they would able to see that there are lots of people do play on the site which they can assume that the site is provably fair.

After trying many gambling sites, for me, i don't really deposit big amounts on gambling sites because i do not expect to earn on those. I just deposit to see how and what are the games their. The only gambling that i actually had withdrawal was yobit.net  but that was a long time ago. I do have some withdrawal from gambling sites but the amount is not as high as how much i had in yobit.

You might be get hacked also dude. What have done is perfect to save your bitcoin as well as to utilize the bitcoin in gambling. Still now bitcoin dice roll is working in Yobit site. When the bitcoin value was around 400$ I use to roll for 0.002 BTC for every roll but now value turns to 4k and even more. Yobit mostly operates as a trading platform only.
I didnt even try to play at yobit but basing on the players feedbacks that i did able to read back in the past their dice site isnt really fair at all.I dont know if its true or not but presuming on their reputation when it comes on exchange matter they do really have a bad reputation and i didnt even tried out to use the site either on exchange or gambling.

I agree with that article and I also think that players should always search for provably fair games. It's exactly what it says there. When you go to a casino you expect randomness. You already know you will lose in the long run, so only the idea of randomness can let give you a chance of winning in the short run, if yu get lucky enough. That's the appealing of casinos. If that gets taken away, then there is not point in playing.

Tbh i'm not verifying my bets, for a site have this and running for how many years like pd I don't bother to verify my bets if I lose. Having these feature makes you more comfortable that you won't get scam especially if you are a high roller.

Most players I have spoken start to play at a site based on the recommendation of a friend and they don't check basic things or care if a provably fair system is implemented.

If a casino avoid to implement this easy provably fair system, then they probably have something to hide?

Make a poll how many players care about it and you will be surely surprised.  Smiley

People who are new to online gambling maybe they don't know how this provably fair system works so they may take advice from other people chose the gambling site. But once they gain some knowledge about bitcoins and how these games works then surely they will check by themselve site provably fair system.

Even if you trust a site definitely still verify bets, the big sites are the ones who could get away the easiest. It's the peace of mind I guess though.

I don't understand how anyone could trust other sites without this feeling of peace lol

Accurate observation. The same goes for "licensed" and "regulated" and to some extent even lowest house edge or best odds. In fact, if you stroll through the casinos advertised even on this forum, you'll find some glaring misrepresentations.

I definitely agree that Provably Fair is now the minimum standard. But players do have a rather steep learning curve when it comes to verifying for themselves if the Provably Fair mechanism is as it claims. For the larger sites, there are open-source tools out there to use but that still requires manual verification of each wager made. I admit myself I hardly ever verify my bets at places I already trust, beyond the first few I always do when signing up to anew place.

I also hear people can implement systems that looks " Provably Fair ", but once it is tested it turns out that it is rigged. Is this true?

I've seen at least one alleged case, which you can discover for yourself in this forum, where the system apparently would only show the seed if you expressly requested it. It's since been fixed.

This is one area, where we need a White Hat hacker initiative, where knowledgeable people could test these sites to see if their systems are "Provably Fair" or if the house edge is what is promoted on the site. These people should in no way be affiliated with these sites and not be bribed or influenced by these people.

Most people just use these sites and blow away their money on untested claims. Misrepresentations has become the standard now and nobody are challenging these claims. If this continues and consumers are exploited enough, law enforcement will get involved and this scene will get heavily regulated. < Most of them are running their online casinos from countries or independent Islands, where these law enforcement agencies cannot touch them. >

I believe there are a number of "decentralized" efforts (sorry, I had to do it!) doing precisely that, even on this forum. I think the gambling community just needs to look out for each other, and to learn a bit of discipline by doing their own research.

As you recognise with bribery and affiliation, at the end of the day, it's difficult to rely on information when there are other agendas. You've got services like Game Protect here who also have their own website and claim to protect players from these "bad casinos" but they hurt their own credibility by also promoting affiliate links.

But I've seen more effective cases here on this forum where casinos are brought up against their claims. Community pressure prevailed in some. Reputation is more powerful than law enforcement here.

You also do not know who is funding these "Watch dog" sites that are reviewing and monitoring gambling sites. Many of them might even be funded by these casinos to scare gamblers away from their competitor sites. You give your major competitors a bad review and your own sites a good review.

There are a lot of money in online gambling and the competition is tough. We see how shills have infiltrated the gambling section on this forum and how they are spreading Fud about competitor gambling sites.

Gambling site will never be fair, they are the ones that will always win because that is how the gambling site works, they will not let most of the players make profits on them, they have to make a huge bankroll everyday, meaning many people must need to lose their money on gambling in order for this to happen. You should think for another way which is safe on earning bitcoin, and not just this gambling thingy if you really want to make some money.

It always mattered to gamble on a probably fair many sites do have fake probably fair mark which many people don't notice but all the trusted sites in the community has probably fair so it's better to gamble on a established business than on a new site because it might have too many trust issues

Provalby fair is one way to make sure that the Casino game is not cheating us.  We can verify it through hashes produced on every roll.  This simply means that the game is programmed fairly  and  players will have an equal chance to win agaisnt the Casino.  This is a must for every player to know if whether the site is provably fair or not else we will find ourselves being roobed in a daily light with the rigged game of non provably fair casinos.

If game is rigged than small players can also get scammed by the casino, provably fair games can't cheat players both small or high rollers. So it is worth to verify your game results atleast once before you start making bigger bets. Playing on some random casino without verifying your rolls is just waste of your both time and money.

Thanks for the useful information.
I would like to add up something.
The fact that the casino site allows you to view the source code doesn't mean that they are using it as the code for their casino game.

You should always view page source and make sure that it fits the code that they show you, sometimes they show one code and use another.
Don't fall for non-random generators.

Well, the problem does not really lays with the checking of the code and comparing them with what they actually use. The problem is that 99% of the people that play on gambling sites do not care or do not know how to do it. The thing is it is extremely difficult anyway to determine if the site is using some cheat to win, after all if they were cheating they would hide it pretty good.

It's not that difficult to check if the website is using cheats to win and all bigger websites have already had their provably fair mechanism checked.
If they show their statistics, the house edge should also reflect on those, at least in the long term.

I'd also say that there are more people in the crypto community that care about those things than you would think.

Thanks for taking your time to share this information which is very important for us, gamblers here in the forum.  Grin . Most of the online casinos that I know uses this technology in their website but it would be really great if this will be adopted to the physical casinos that we have in our neighborhood. This will somehow provide you some peace of mind while gambling knowing that you are losing your money fairly.   Roll Eyes

Knowing that the site is provably fair is good, since it is something you can trust and it is a standard in all gambling sites, well it should be. However, the problem is that there is no central authority that can confirm that the site is truly provably fair and that there is no way that the site is cheating their players. Then the problem now is that whether the claim of it is provably fair, is indeed provably fair. Since there are sites that say they are, but they use their own provably fair checker which could be where they are actually cheating.

I care about provably fair a lot, I just don't want to play in a casino which isn't probably fair as what if I get lucky and started winning and got a huge bankroll and decided to bet big amounts and then the casino make the game rigged and then I loose, this is the main concern in my mind about the casinos which aren't provably fair. No one likes playing in a casino which says it's not provably fair but it don't cheat.

Let me just add something also. First of all, there are millions of gamblers and not all of them are programmers or can understand the source code. Now to understand this, they will take courses and we both know this is not gonna happen. So why not just playing the game in limits and enjoying the moments instead of starting the inspection? To be this much concerned about gambling is ridiculous.
