Daedalus is a highly secure wallet for the Ada cryptocurrency. Daedalus is currently the only wallet that supports Ada. If you would like to use Daedalus to secure your funds, please be sure to download from the one official website: https://daedaluswallet.io/

This seems to be the biggest active thread about Cardano. Maybe somebody can help me with a problem with the Cardano-SL client?

I have downloaded Cardano and installed Nix according to the official guide: https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-sl/blob/develop/docs/how-to/build-cardano-sl-and-daedalus-from-source-code.md

However, I run into an error when I type in the final installation command which should build cardano-sl from the source code (from the cardano-sl directory):

Code:
nix-build -A cardano-sl-static --cores 0 --max-jobs 2 --no-build-output --out-link master
error: attribute 'cardano-sl-static' in selection path 'cardano-sl-static' not found

OS is Debian Stretch.

Is it possible that the installation command has changed and cardano-sl-static isn't available anymore as an option?

Edit: I figured it out - one has to replace cardano-sl-static by cardano-sl-node-static. It's however strange, because this seems to be the "old" way to build it which was replaced, supposedly by "cardano-sl-static" in newer versions. The help page seems wrong then.

I run into another error however, so that may be not my last post in this thread.

First thoughts when seeing the number of pages that someone just started thread. When I opened it that was big surprise, having more than half a year existence here but interaction of people is very low. Cardano is finalizing the product and no awareness here. May be from here we see consistency for this thread to keep rotating positively.

I think it's a good coin, bought it at a low price, and I think the price of this coin will become very expensive, very soon.

Here in this thread not everything is reaching so interested parties should make little effort to chase the updates on various channels. What i fouhd interesting it was excellent write up about the treasury system introduced by Cardano's team. I have studied the proposal and they have real interesting approach towards solution and fixes for many existed issues which were ignored and left unsolved.

I have invested in ADA as well but let's be realistic there is no next Bitcoin. In last 4 years I have seen hundred of claims to replace Bitcoin and many of those coins don't even exist today. Better focus on own features and project instead of trying to what is not possible. Bitcoin is movement and unique in its own way. ADA is very good and has potential and will grow in its circle of expertise.

n case you missed it, @IOHK_Charles , CEO of IOHK, hosted a surprise AMA this weekend. Community members were able to ask him anything about the Cardano project and the crypto-space as a whole. Watch it here: https://forum.cardano.org/t/surprise-ama-with-charles/13631

That announcement of coinbase about exploring five markets for listing on their platform caused market mover yesterday. ADA is one of those which saw bounce as market appreciated lot. This is showing ADA is being discussed at that level already. Although market has normalized again but it has showed signal about future to those were having doubts.

It is so interesting from the start that I have downloaded already the whole report to read it easy by easy. This report contains 48 pages but since the area of application is very important and shows the potential and discuss many things it will be worth. Smart ledgers to handle pensions specifically is something one of the most needed in future.

Currently $0.172 can hold the Cardano currency. The ADA price stop is set at a low of $0.16. The currency is bullish, and the profit is considerable.
