Japan officially recognized bitcoin as a method of payment, creator of Bitcoin is said to be possibly Japanese, and Japanese telecommunications company GMO announced its plans to invest $ 300 million in the first half of 2018 for Bitcoin mining, I can see why Japan would be one of the leading countries in crypto.

What do you mean by bitcoin world leader, in terms of what? because as far as I know China is the nation that have the most cryptocurrencies in their possession thinking the fact that they almost control the 70% of mining power in the whole world so logically they have the no.1 leader board when it comes to crypto holdings. Japan maybe the number one country when it comes to accepting Bitcoin as a legal tender as their government fully accept it nationwide.

It is true that Japan has already given out license to CoinCheck as the first regulated and licensed cryto currency exchange. But the volume is still less from Japan. The crypto population of China is superior in number as well as in volume. So I doubt Japan is a world leader in volume. However, it has taken the first step to legalize something for crypto currency, so they are definitely a leader in the progressive decisions. But recently I have seen a news that China is now all set to give out license to some crypto currency exchanges which will be regulated under strict AML laws.

They certainly are the new leader of any advancement in utilizing bitcoin since they've been pretty positive about anything related to bitcoin so far. Companies issuing bitcoin bonds, regulations for safely trading cryptocurrencies and overall positive reception of bitcoin, Japan is a lovely example of a country seeing the good things about bitcoin.

I think so, Japan is an advanced country in terms of infrastructure and technology. This can make it easier for Japan to become a bitcoin leader and Japan can easily apply bitcoin in all aspects of life.

As far as I know, there is no leader in the bitcoin world. It is decentralized, there are no leader to control the bitcoin. How can I think or determine that Japan is the leader, what will be the basis to become the leader. To become a leader that leader must command and control an organization.

Maybe hes pertaining on the ranking on countries which do accept or legalize bitcoin. We do know that Japan is the first country as far as i know who do legalize bitcoin and adopt it to be part of their payment system which we cant see on any country. They did really do such thing knowing that satoshi is a japanese maybe this is one of the factors why they do legalize it but well this is just my own opinion.

Japan are best country but only after China and Russia (I still have some hopes about Russian federation) Hope they don't loose this opportunity to be best in the world! Russia have great chances to be leader in the cryptoworld! On the other hand It's no matter who is origin and leader of bitcoins most important our future.

Korea hasn't banned bitcoin exchanges, only China has. Japan definitely is leading the world, with bitcoin-friendly regulations. They have finally wiped off the Mt Gox stain from their memories.

Japan is a country of mysteries. This may be the only country in the world which will be different non-standard approach to cryptocurrency. The Japanese are always the initiators of all the new and unusual in the world. I am sure that Japan is our main hope. All other countries will pretend that the search for mechanisms to use cryptocurrency.

Now that's an interesting bit of information, Japan along with Australia seem to be realising the potential of crypto. Does this also mean that Japan will replace China for the mining of Bitcoin?

Yes I agree that the positive look out which Japan has towards bitcoin is a clear sign of Japan taking lead in further growth and development of bitcoin although it's still open source and bitcoin has its own devs and it's decentralized but as far as taking a lead in mining is considered Japan seems to be going to be ahead of any other country at the moment.

The Japanese are smart people, brother. They were thinking very compact in every period, they still continue to think that way. We should not be surprised that they have come to the forefront of countries trying to bring legal grounds to this world. It is already unexpected for Japanese to act like the Chinese government, because Japanese are a foresighted nation. I expect more real and beautiful developments in the future. Basically in the next three years, Japan will become a legally-serving center of cryptographic money in the world.

without being legal investor still there many country people doing investment in bitcoin and blockchain based projects. After Japan now India accepted bitcoin legal money so it is a chain reaction sure more countries will adopt it soon. Chinese and Korean mostly forward to stop the ICO scam only not a complete bitcoin. Japan they started implement many things in bitcoin like ATM, exchanges, mining and etc..

In terms of trading volumes, they are far ahead of every other country. That is why you have media reports coming out about Japan's leadership. But Japan is also leafing the world in terms of regulation and adoption.

We have a good reason to believe they are now, they are now fully embracing bitcoin and cryptocurrency but I believe Chinese people in general are still working in Bitcoin because they have miners here and big mining equipment are China-based, they will not give Bitcoin just like that
