He guys,

So I was wondering if any of you know a good service that allows me to pay my rent with bitcoin? My landlord wants my month rent in her bank account and I would love to be able to pay that with bitcoins! I've seen some services around that claim they do that (welto), but I couldn't really find if they are reputable or legit. If anyone knows of any legit services for this, I would be so grateful! I live in the USA so it must be compatible with US please Smiley

You could use any exchange in complication with your own bank account. I think it would be better for your landlord to see payments coming from an account in your name either way. Bitstamp and Gdax seem to be the go-to exchanges in the us these days. I'd recommend them.

Thanks for the response. I suppose that is an option I could take, but I would still like to know if there is a direct btc to bank account option for paying rent Smiley

Yeah I do have a bitcoin debit card which is glorious for paying for smaller things, but unfortunately for rent, my landlord wants it directly to her checkings account so I wouldn't be able to pay with my card Smiley Thanks for your response as well

That is possible here in Philippines, we do have what you call Coins.ph we can deposit Bitcoin to that website and then from that site we can cash out bitcoin and convert it directly to Cash/PHP and send it to remittance center, bank account or we can even directly pay our montly bills like electricity, water bills etc etc. For other countries i don't know if there is any existing site like coins.ph on other area.

Hi BTCQueen,

I am a private investor here in the US, I am not quite sure where you're located but I am focusing in Florida. I have a number of properties here and a few more in Arizona. I'm offering Owner Finance/ Lease Option or even straight purchase using Bitcoin and Etherium. No cashing out or BTC-to-bank, just wallet to wallet will do. Let me know if you're interested, would be happy to help.

Yeah, OK buddy.  What you are is just a noob making claims, and you could be anybody.

I don't know of any way to pay rent using bitcoin in the US, unless the landlord knows about and would be willing to accept it.  Mine certainly doesn't.  Sounds like the Philippines, for all its other problems, has got its act together as far as crypto goes.   We really need something like that in the states.  Then again, I'm not sure if I'd want to spend bitcoin when I could just as easily pay rent in fiat--but I'd be open to the idea.

Yes that is pretty much what I'm looking for but for USA. Would be awesome to pay rent, phone bills, water bill, etc directly with bitcoin.

I do actually live in Florida, but I just leased a new apartment so I'm locked down for a year. Thanks anyways.

Yeah I understand I could easily pay with fiat, but my 'problem' is ALL i have is bitcoin. My work even pays me in bitcoin so i have 0 in the bank Smiley That's why I am looking for this kind of solution.

well, I am from India and we have some good Sites which allows us to send money directly to bank accounts, of course, we have to verify yourself first. but the point is if we have the sites then in America there will be too. Don't You have any Bitcoin atm nearby? Trusting internet traders is always a hard decision or else I can recommend you localbitcoin site.

I don't know why not pay him in Fiat currency instead? Also if you are really required to deposit the monthly rent for him there are certain wallet apps where they have an option in converting your Bitcoin to Fiat currency via Bank Deposit which in my Local Wallet have that is available for several major banks we have. I like your enthusiasm of paying Bitcoin directly but I don't think there is such service, and even if there is you will be incurring additional cost of what they will do for you. So my recommendation if you have a local Bitcoin Wallet with a bank deposit option then go for it.

You'd be trusting an unknown third party to hand over your money, and all they'd be doing is using an exchange to do it which is yet another unknown third party with their profit on top.

Two unknown third parties in a row doesn't sound like a very good idea to me. I've read of services like this in the past. They came and went pretty rapidly. Sell your own coins and give them conventional money unless your landperson would directly accept BTC. It's not worth risking the roof over your head for.

I suppose so. I did find some new services like welto but i have no idea if they are reputable.
