Tried depositing  $50 on coinbase with my capital one debit card   transaction declined  Does that happen all the time to US residents?

Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

It depends on what card you use. Some of the bigger banks will automatically deny it, just try a different card.

You must move this thread in Service Discussion section and ask on Coinbase related main thread most of time USA based exchanges very stick about rules just because of this they are not allowing you to use this card better try with some other reputable card hope this will works for you

Wrong section indeed.
But it's not an issue with coinbase, it's an issue with your bank probably.

Usually they will contact you after making such a transaction.
