How much extra info and such did you give? Is there any reason they might me extra careful, like do you have a ton in there, or did you try to recover from a different IP address?

I have claimed my account. However, the password is not working and I can't login. I previously managed to check my account status with that password so this is interesting. Status page now rejects my password too. Any ideas other than contacting Mt.Gox directly?

I thought I had trouble getting it to respond to my password to even though I was sure I put it in right the first few times. Then it just started working randomly. Perhaps I had a typo, or perhaps their system isn't responding right. I did try my old password once before my new password started working. Perhaps is had something to do with it?

The forgot password link on mtgox login page is returning 404 right now.

This one works:  https://claim.mtgox.com/forgot_login

You can only reset pw once per 24 hours.

Account claimed. Password doesn't work. Password resetting email did not arrive. Opened ticked is not answered. I'm stuck in a limbo.

The value of bitcoins is not a theory, predictions of it's failure are what is theoretical.

https://claim.mtgox.com/forgot_login says login so you put in your login there.  The email should go to the email associated with the login (was still working last I heard).  This will only work after you've successfully claimed your account.

You can only reset the password once per 24 hours.

After 10 bad login attempts, your IP is locked out (for 24 hours I think?).  Try logging in from a different IP (go to different wifi somewhere or use a proxy).  Some users have reported success from a different IP.

Newly created accounts aren't working yet.

No luck here either. Sent two packets of id info, dwolla info, transfer info, etc., no reply. Tried to log in to the main page but, GOXED!  ;-)  A nice exercise in learning inner peace and serenity.

Yeah, two sets of my IP addresses, my old, insanely complex 30-character(un-brute-forceable) password, my Dwolla ID, my account balance in both USD and BTC is not good enough for Mt Gox, apparently.

I've provided pretty much everything and my claim is still not approved!
Only problem is I don't remember my exact balance.

I thought MtGox was the best thing ever happened to me but apparently there's no free lunch Sad

My account has been verified... And the problem was fully mine! I hadn't pressed the button to verify the account :-) I had only added the proofs :-) I got help on irc by Tux. (ah... you are permitted to think (but only to think) that I'm quite stupid... I feel the same :-) )

I am also in this boat. Looks like a bug in the password validation or creation code.
