what makes you trust a new altcoin?

the team, the project, roadmap, the price is still cheap, i didn't know if you go to long investment but there are many altcoin that have better tech and function than coin on 1-10 rank on coinmarketcap, so they just not yet shine and i think why not buy when it's so cheap for now?

I do not believe in new promising altcoins, if it's just a payment system. Now there are many different cryptocurrencies, most of which remain afloat only because of the pump in 2017.

I prefer to go for altcoins that have good usecase. Altcoins that would add value not just to the person holding it, but also the the world in entirety. The coins that has good future prospects are the ones that get better adoption.

Most probably their team are in more experience to handle their company to be enable to attract more investors to invest in their campany and they have plenty of plan or strategy to be more popular to the people in order to make valueable their altcoin in the market.

It is not what is on the page that impresses me, it is what is in their Github. I don't invest in hype and promises. I want to see people actually spending more time on developing the project and less time on marketing it. My new favourite coin is project called DarkPayCoin. trusting new coins or new projects is difficult before proven ability or quality. beforehand people will know in more detail whether the project is really good or not, if the reality is good and there is a lot of potential for many people to switch to new coins but it is most likely difficult if new coins or new projects will run. perfect and generate high profits.

The main factor is the product. But just as important is the team and the community.

Since the product is not ready in most of the cases, and purpose of ico itself is to collect money for developing of this product, main factor is team, which is going to develop this product.

So, the big plus if ico has it`s own office, where you can contact each of the team participant personally. If there are videos in Youtube, for example, from this office or at least photoes.

Team and Advisors - in team there should be a big names, well known names in crypto like Roger Ver.
Product - working revolutionary and useful product for ordinary people.
Exchanges - be listed on big exchanges like Binance - this is very important because it makes the altcoin popular.

If you mean like ICO stage Altcoins I trust none... I need to see a little how that project does, how goes with the partnerships. at least keep an eye for like 1-2 years
