Before investing in a coin, I first study the team and their environment. Then the marketing itself. The contract is on ethereum blockchain and only then I make a decision.

For me having a real product, prototype or mvp grabs my attention. From I go through the whitepaper and I do check the team's day to day activities(Going for blockchain conferences and others relevant stuffs to show some kind of seriousness and commitment)

i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?
I am attracted and trusting ICO because of the platform, and the team members. Also try to read the whitepaper of the ICO so that you will see all the information, benefits, bonus, etc of the ICO!

Learning to trust a new altcoin is harder than you think. At least, identifying it early can be a tough prospect. The basics for recognizing a good altcoin or trust it is to start learning about it. The more you read about it, the clearer it becomes, and slowly you will trust it. Also, having a good whitepaper and team is not enough, but does act as a pre-requisite for learning about the altcoin. In short, it is all about practice. You will make mistakes and trust altcoins that are not worth, but soon, you will be able to identify the real gems out there!

Most times what makes me trust new altcoins are: - The innovation behind the project - public appearance of the team members - product - etc. When all these are in place new altcoins are worth the short

I am always checking every single detail that I can find about the people behind the project. The crucial thing is to see how much is the developing team committed to the idea and it is easily shown by checking all the alterations, changes and updates that are done in a certain period of time. The improvement has to be constant so that you can be sure that it is not a scam project where they are only looking to collect the initial profit. Also, the actions that are taken in promoting and implementing the coin in the market, CMC, exchanges, etc. The project that I am currently interested in and that satisfies all the criteria that I have mentioned and that is important to me is BTCN. This altcoin already reached CMC and is active in a couple of credible exchanges. It shows a steady progress and improvement for now.

For me, it's the team's background and the companies backing them. I know a lot of projects who claimed to have an impressive team, but none of those people were real. I take each and every member, inspect their LinkedIns and see if everything over there is true.
After I'm done with this, I check the backing companies list. I go to their official pages and see if they made any announcements about a partnership. For example, there was this project, Ludos Protocol - if I can remember well - claiming that they were backed by Softbank. I went through PR releases and directly to Softbank-related sources, as it was too good to be true, and found out that they were serious.
The general idea is to do your research and when something that seems too good to be true occurs, insists on that. There are tools you can use for researching, like Buzzsumo, or even an advanced search on Google can do the trick.

These factors influence public response. If the response is good and much discussed, the project is definitely very good. Especially if the sales are good, measured from the achievement of the hard cap target at Ico, the rest we just wait for the market response and the strategy of the team to develop prices.

Well I trust a new altcoin if I know that the project is good and have good product. We will know that if we research right project that have a great team and product that we will know we can use it in the future.

You need to be able to understand the projects and understand the factors that affect the quality of the project. There are a lot of them. If you learn to understand this and determine the most critical factors, then you will be able to choose the best projects on which many investors will earn big money.
