Hi, good question.

KYC is mandatory to contributors for over 2.5 ether. Under 2.5 ether KYC is not mandatory.

We are having KYC check to protect your contribution and our business. As you may know, anonimity may have negative impacts - money laundering schemes, terrorist financing, criminal activities and so on. These are the reasons why after ICO is completed authorities will contact us and ask where the funds came from. If we will not have proof (securely collected and stored information about you), the government can confiscate the funds, freeze accounts or do other anti-money laundering acts. Whatever they will do, it would mean that Birdchain will not be developed and your BIRDs are basically worthless.

We developed this KYC process with authorities. So, your contribution will be safe and we will deliver Birdchain on time.

Basically, all ICOs without KYC will get in trouble sooner or later and contributors in such ICOs are taking very big risk.

Our KYC check provider is Onfido. It is used in financial industry - for example, Revolut.

It checks your data and compares it with queries in various databases (Interpol, FBI and so on).

KYC procedure and whitelisting were developed to protect Birdchain and your contribution. KYC is needed only if you contribute 2.5 ether or more. if you pass KYC and get whitelisted you wil be able to make a contribution. Nothing could stop you

What scenario is envisaged in case if not all the tokens issued are sold? I prefer to destroy the remnants - so you can accelerate the growth of the value of tokens.

The leftover tokens will be distributed proportionally to all contributors. The ones who contributed the most, will receive the most of the left-over tokens.

The price will depend on the speed you want your messages be delivered. Transactional SMS will cost a bit more as they need to be delivered much faster than promotional SMS>
