This can make a lot of money and many use it successfully. All necessary source code is in the public domain. All you need is time and some money. After the first pump the coin will fly to float freely and never considerably will not grow.

I think the main reason why people try to create their own coins is to get rich as creating their own coins will earn them more profit. However,some people do this for the sake of fame and getting popular.

There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing?

They are not wasting for nothing. This guys are greedy people who like to become rich in a short period of time. I But the problem is they didn't create a coin to be beneficial for many but to get profit as much as they can. Those people are creating shitcoins to scam people.

I think that 90% of them are solely doing it in order to get profits. ICOs were a big success during 2017, and a lot of developers became millionaires as a result of it. And this has encouraged all sort of people to come up with their own coins and tokens.
