Why people try to create their own coins?

There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing?

I dont think that they are wasting time. I am sure that many people want to create their own coins, only for their own benefit. It's not difficult to write a whitepaper and create a beautiful website, especially if you can earn good money. In general, competition in the market is always good, gives the rest more incentive to develop.

They are trying to compete with bitcoin and making thier flatform and roadmap so that the people know what project means and how it will work. If people will backing up with thier coin thats the time the coin will be popular like bitcoin and other top10 altcoins.

The question is simple, all is the money when someone releases the new coins, they should the largest shareholder in this coin, I have seen some scam project, when the coins listing in the several exchanges, they dump the coins and take out all of their money in same time.

anyway, some project needs the money to develop their platform or ecosystem, the good way is distribution their coins and collects fund.

well, cryptocurrency for the others is like a business they create a new coin, and if it's good then it have a chance to be a popular and one of the trusted coins. so the founder or owner of that coin will earn big. but if it failed just a small amount of their money is loss because their coins is failed. but now, too many coins amd I am sure that the pther just wasting their time

Im not that knowledgable on the said topic but i think the reason is that they want to promote and develop the introduced project to the public via their own newly made coin so that they can manage the transactions that have been made by the participants with ease. moreover the purchased coin will be easily distinguished from other projects that have a much similar concept.. just like how two different projects aim to prevent false advertisement.. with XXX coin belonging to XXX project and with YYY coin belonging to YYY project

If their coin launch is at least remotely successful long enough for the creators to dump their tokens on an exchange, then it is far from a waste of time!

I think many coins are created purely as a money-grab, although of course there are also many which are legit and decent projects!

People try to create their own coins to try get the attention of potential investors. They are selling themselves so that they can have financial support from the investors. Creating their own coin is a step forward in fulfilling their ideas or projects, in which they believe or foresee that could change the future of cryptocurrency.

Most coins are only made for someone to make money from it. I think that's the main reason.

What you mean 'they waste their time for nothing?' Although most of the coins in the market right now is just a copy of one another, but you can't say it that way. I think they created that coins for one purpose only : 'money'. Most ICOs raised over millions of dollars although in my opinion those coins are just a mere copy as well. But well, they are clearly not wasting their time. They are making money.

It is true that several alt coins abounds in recent times and every coin created has its goal. Most of these coins are created by inexperienced developers who do not have much innovative ideas to bring something new to the world. They turn out to copy the ideas of other projects and deliver poor services. In the long run, their coins devalue on the market.
This is the main reason why you need to study well a project or ICO especially its team members and the purpose of the coin before investing.

New coins are emitted to attract money to startup. So if you are going to start business (mostly based on blockchain) with investors money you need to create criptocurrency with some tokens supply for future ICO.
