If some one can afford then surely he buy some altcoins because currently bitcoin fork is on and most of peoples trying to panic sell for some free money but this can give more profit because right now prices going down very quickly and just need some patience and good home work can give very healthy profit in very short term investment

I don't think that you should hold any altcoins at the time of fork as the price of Bitcoin will surely go up after the fork and you can expect a good decrease in the prices of altcoins .
The decrease in prices of alts is certain. The higher the price of Bitcoin goes, the greater the fall in prices of altcoins will be.

Search for great projects that are at their huge discounts from their peak price and buy it for mega profits in 2 or 3 months. Do the opposite of what everyone is trying to do i.e. buying BTC.

I am not interested in buying bitcoin due to the the possible fork. After the price of bitcoin cash popped after the split, people are expecting the same this time. But the potential price of bitcoin gold is already priced in the bitcoin itself. I will rather collect altcoins at this moment.

Yes that is a smart idea. Collecting altcoins is very easy you can also make huge amount of money from investing in altcoins.  I have now some ltc and dogecoin i hope that they will double at their prices. If that happens i will sell my coins or even better convert them to Bitcoin you can do that by using coinpot wallet.
