Yeah it is pity that i also didnt know about crypto world in earlier stages. there are so many people make huge profits with altcoins in especially in 2016. Especially XEL ETH DASH made many people millionaire. Anyway it is just the beginning, i hope we can make also good choices for future.

Truth is somewhere between. Dash and ETH created few millionaires , others made good money and this is it. Many people lost their money on scummy ICO's same year, and finely we can say only smart investors making money, others are out of this game. This situation now is perfect example how some will get profit while others will lose almost everything, this fork and FUD around it is just the beginning of hysteria which will strike in few days from now.

I had Dogecoin and Litecoin I traded them for Bitcoin. I made a litte profit from it, but i wish i had not done it. Altcoins will rise up in the future thats why.

Could you explain how in your opinion a hardfork affects "all" altcoin prices?
Doesn't really make sense to me.

Because a lot of people dump there altcoins and buy BTC instead hoping to gain from the rise or the two different forks than buy the altcoins back at a later date for a reduced price or with more funds. Same thing happened with BCH in the run up to the fork.

Yes Its time to buy altcoin. Because After coming news bitcoin Hard Fork every one moves bitcoin and buy and holding. For That  all altcoin was dumping  but just 1 week after release hardfork every on move altcoin and thats time alt coin just Jump in to moon.

I also think that most of the altcoins at the moment are very undervalued, but for nothing of the world I would dare to invest too much in them. I think waiting for the fork to come ending of this month being October might not really be a bad idea but that is risky because we might experience huge bullish immediately and buying earlier might have been better.

Therefore, I think buying now is nice since prices are down.
