To mine just one LUX I need to mine for multiple days for me.

Does the community think it will moon from first day, or would it be better to mine something else and just by when listed on exchanges?

you have already more than 80 GH/s just on yiimp so solomining will just make sense if you have huge mining power on your own rigs.

Dev, can you explain the situation with early POS advantage on you side? Please give us your thoughts or in other case this coin might be condemned to be forgotten as there are so many things that needs to be cleared.
You think the thief admits that he's a fraud

Let'snot be so particular with our decisions. So many people were shouting out loud yesterday and called dev a fraud when everybody were mining test chain and it appeared that it was just a technical issue that was fixed after couple hours.

The developer of the coin is a thief, people got the first blocks, and he zeroed them

Yup, that's what happens when you mine testnet coins.

Did you read my post?  There's a 50% PoS reward.  So the dev is earning 1.5 million Lux the first year, 2.25 million lux the second year, etc.

Edit: I'm not trying to FUD by the way.  I'm wondering if my math is wrong, or if the dev has a plan to address this issue, that's all.

good point about pre-mine and staking, and i have serious doubts that devs will come back with a reply.
All the most people see is NEW ALGO HEADER and trying to jump on the train without digging the details.
Fair launch with a premine which looks like destroyed new algo.

There is an entire team that worked around the clock to create and launch this coin.
We discussed and tried to find the best approach and plan and we are aware that not everybody can be pleased.

If staking reward was too low, people would have said that they don't get enough rewards and that there are no masternodes.
If there is bonus & incentive for staking (2x PoS reward for 100K blocks), people say that devs get a big wallet and dump.

We tried to listen to the community on Discord and adjust things here & there in regards to the benefit the coin.
Please remember that no exchange lists you for free and no marketing or promo for the coin is possible without funds.

I love POS coins. This one is accompanied by masternodes which give the privilege to my choice. I am in.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, we are happy to see that you & others more are aware of the potential of LUX.

can any one help me to sync my wallet. ver 1 works good without any nodes, but ver 2 cant sync with network, i try to add nodes from this topic, exclude lux qt from firewall, but it still have 0 connections. i use apple router, maybe needs to open some port?
and one else, can i rewrite wallet.dat from ver1 to ver2?
thanks in advance

You can't use the wallet file from older qt version , go to github and download the lastest version ,before start new wallet , you need to clear all that is maked by older version (qt, folder in AppData/Lux.) after start new wallet wait 1-2 min and close it. go to your Lux folder  make the lux.conf and copy/paste these configs :

server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=phi
rpcpassword=xx
rpcport=6667
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=45.63.25.110
addnode=45.32.245.217
addnode=109.72.52.94:28666
addnode=114.162.212.69:28666
addnode=166.62.157.98:28666
addnode=178.75.12.107:28666
addnode=188.242.167.97:28666
addnode=217.76.187.239:28666
addnode=37.112.13.249:28666
addnode=45.32.245.45:28666
addnode=45.63.25.110:28666
addnode=46.28.98.8:28666
addnode=49.149.79.191:28666
addnode=5.189.85.95:28666
addnode=72.89.43.245:28666
addnode=83.249.26.170:28666
addnode=87.225.108.117:28666
addnode=88.119.28.126:28666
addnode=95.174.205.229:28666

after these manipulations wallet will found alive nodes.

and remember that wallet can't found nodes "momentaly" after start , this will take some time (about 10-15 min)

I won't even bother responding to this kind of FUD.
Do you have any arguments for your statement?

Time to reach 50/50 with premained coins is about 210 (if blocktime is 1 minute) days without POS and MN rewards. What will happen during this time interval with the coin? For what this premine? Bounty, airdrop or any purposes? I've saw there was post in old topic from one of the team member about hard work for over 9 months ( Huh Grin ) and reward for it, but later it has been deleted. And what's principal new in this algo? It looks like built up from many different old.
Everyone who mining LUX expect signatum profit, because of "new algo", but there won't be, because difficulty rise colossaly straight from the launch.
For now I even don't see roadmap, whitepaper or any serious plans.

1). Official block time is 3 minutes.
2). I just responded a few post above in regards to the premine.
3). More details will come as soon as I have them.

1). Official block time is 3 minutes.

Okay, about 630 days for 50/50 if there won't be airdrops and bounties.

check if you don't have already any miner on work.  socket is already used by another mining software.

or maybe your port is closed by firewall .

Is there working blockexplorer for LUXcoin?
It would help a lot

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

check you firewall , and if need make port forwarding. wallet can't receive the connection(or is blocked by your AV or Soft Firewall).
