Did you read my post? There's a 50% PoS reward. So the dev is earning 1.5 million Lux the first year, 2.25 million lux the second year, etc.
Edit: I'm not trying to FUD by the way. I'm wondering if my math is wrong, or if the dev has a plan to address this issue, that's all.
good point about pre-mine and staking, and i have serious doubts that devs will come back with a reply.
All the most people see is NEW ALGO HEADER and trying to jump on the train without digging the details.
Fair launch with a premine which looks like destroyed new algo.
There is an
entire team that worked around the clock to create and launch this coin.
We discussed and tried to find the best approach and plan and we are aware that not everybody can be pleased.
If staking reward was too low, people would have said that they don't get enough rewards and that there are no masternodes.
If there is bonus & incentive for staking (2x PoS reward for 100K blocks), people say that devs get a big wallet and dump.
We tried to listen to the community on Discord and adjust things here & there in regards to the benefit the coin.
Please remember that no exchange lists you for free and no marketing or promo for the coin is possible without funds.
Thanks for the response. I do think you should consider other solutions. You could, for example, make a policy that dev team will only stake 25% of their coins. I'm not trying to say dev team should get no reward. But surely you can appreciate the poor optics and economics of the dev reward growing from 3 million (5%) to 4.5 million (7.5%) in one year through staking alone? I mean, if you think about it, you're going to be hurting the value of your own holdings with the potential drag that level of concentration will create on the market cap. You may end up rewarding yourselves more in real dollar/bitcoin terms if you allow the distribution of this coin to be a little more decentralized. If you only stake 750,000 coins, you still earn 375,000 coins on the year. Anyone else would need over 16% of network hash to achieve that level of return in one year.
The above is just a suggestion, if you think dev team deserves to have 16% of total supply in 3 years and 25% of total supply in 4 years, I can't argue with you. It's your right to value your effort. I can only choose whether or not to participate, and the market will decide the rest.
