So many clones of BTC. In or not?

Those coins are trying to mimic and confuse many people. But it is difficult to ignore them because their gains are crazy!

there is a cap for these "gains". and when there are hundreds of them being created, there won't be any gains anymore.

and so far these new "mimic" coins are doing a lot of airdrops which are free money giveaways. and people who receive them are not about to hold them or buy more, they instead dump what they got for free to turn the useless token to something of value: bitcoin or fiat.

No matter how many clones or altcoins are created, it can never take the place of the original and first of its kind cryptocurrency to ever exist. Although newer coins are coming up with great ideas to offer, can't ever see them going beyond Bitcoin as the father of the crypto world will always remain the father. Most of the altcoins being created today are just for the project team to make money which isn't really the original idea when Bitcoin was released.

They could be good short term, but if you're looking for a long term investment, you're much better off going for Bitcoin or some other altcoin like Litecoin. I don't see any Bitcoin clone getting any long term success because they'll never be groundbreakingly better than Bitcoin, and most holders would rather sell their coins to gain the more established and tested Bitcoin.

There are hundreds of bitcoin clone and many of them have bitcoin name attached at end or start but that doesn't make them as valuable as bitcoin. If they can't offer anything more than what bitcoin is already providing, that how they gonna attract new users?

ETH and other smart contract based coins are getting good level of adoption because they are offering what bitcoin can't provide right now.

Clones will always be clones no matter what,if they could convince the general public that their coin is the better than bitcoin in many ways then they could win the battle ,other than that it is really hard to overcome the brand bitcoin has generated over the years,if i am getting those coins because i am holding bitcoin,then i am all in.

People will always copy something that became popular and powerful. It is logically because they think they can do the same thing wich is extremely hard. Of course bitcoin will always be in the top. You cannot replicate a thing that is on the market for almost 10 years in a few months. I personally dont trust something that is copied because that is not a new idea or technology wich means it will not be successful. Even if at the beginning a new coin may seem great , only 0.001% will actually be successful in future

Just like Bitcoin Cash, no one is going to settle for an imitation when there original is always available, nonetheless, there are people who believe that these altcoins are going to be a success and they keep on investing in them, in some cases they are right and sometimes not so right.

This is how the market works and will always be like this if you want a market with competition, options and alternatives. Eg, you have the brand that invented the automobile them some guys that used to work there leave to form a new brand with a new clone automobile vehicle with some customization but all essential elements are there. This still applies in the crypto ecosystem, there is clones that is just a plain fork with a little delta customization and others with a broader deviation from the original.

Like this, IBM invented the modern computer, will they always be the King forever till the end of times ? Apple currently has more market cap so there is no guarantee for life a company be on Top but stats show the opposite that companies stay on top on average no more than 80 years.

eBTC is not totally a clone of bitcoin since its just a tradition erc20 coin which only using the name of bitcoin and it did really get hyped up and rose up its price in a short period of time. eBTC is different into Bitcoin Cash which is totally and truly the clone of bitcoin but yet it is just still consider as an another altcoin in the market. As suggested above once a coin being hyped up specially on those coins who attained on airdrop then the best time is to secure profits or free money before they would totally dump.

Distribute them for free then immediately they will throw them away. sort of junk coins, but interesting to look at.

they are only part of BTC, they are the coin that is being brought BTC price. BTC will always be at the top of the rankings, other coin prices are based on BTC, if BTC goes down then they will also go down and if BTC price goes up then another coin will also go up.

There is no doubt that BTC will still be the King before its the first crypto that reaches every corner of the globe. Many have tried but they all failed. And now they are trying to clone which somewhat divide the market. I think it bring harm in the ecosystem because investors now will have other options besides bitcoin. But I think majority will just stick to BTC because its already trusted and its been with us for quite sometime now.

There is no doubt that BTC will still be the King before its the first crypto that reaches every corner of the globe. Many have tried but they all failed. No, it won't divide the market as I look at it. Only a small percentage with stay with BCC or BTG and those have a high stake on that coin. No casual investors will put cash on them because they are just altcoin and we know that altcoins (or most of them for that matter) is just for pump and dump only. Although BCC is trading at $360. Its going on a downward trend. It will be likely the case for BTG, when we all get the free coins, we will dump it and go and stick to bitcoin market. And then those coins will enjoy a roller coaster ride but won't be as valuable as bitcoin.

The success of eBTC (even without a WHITE PAPER) draws attention to others that pushed them to make their own digital currency as well. Lots of eXXXXX and wXXXXX coins airdrops invaded in this forum but non of them seems to look promising than their predecessor (eBTC).

They only create coins without good planning, no roadmap no good team. But some of them managed to do it. EBtc, this coin became the foundation for making similar coins like Exrp, Eltc, Edoge and many more. Better to stay away from this coin and prefer a truly quality coin.

They aren't exactly "clones" of bitcoin but they have the same nature of existence, which is being a cryptocurrency and exist within the internet. Like bank investments, every bank have their own rates but there is always this bank that will have the highest rate among the others. Some cryptocurrencies like ethereum and e-toro are showing potential in terms of price growth, but a lot of them are falling short in the long-run. Bitcoin will always remain the number one cryptocurrency in the market due to its reputation and volatility compared to others.

Yes exactly, you are not taking all the things to fame. Developers just made these all little coins just for themselves. And that is only one reason for which these coins are just remained unfamiliar. Only few people know about them. No future, no proper development and no advertising at all. So they are just disappeared after there are established.
