I assume you try to buy into good projects, that you have some kind of faith in.
You buy them because you think they will be a good investment.

A good project will still be a good project whether btc forks or not, why would you sell?

Agree with your point. There is no point selling the coin of projects we believe in, I guess patience is the key here.  And altcoins might not be down this time, I see most coins in green today.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Depending on the coins you are holding, if there is no major update that is going to be release then for awhile you can sell it for bitcoin
so you will be able to benefit the fork. I am also planning to sell some of my alts because I want to own Bitcoin Gold and I am just waiting for the right timing since most of my alts are down currently.

Not a bad strategy to move your coins into the coin about to be forked, it's free coins and I'm sure a lot of people did that with Bitcoincash. Sounds like an easy way to possibly even double your money if you play it right. Good question.

Hi guys,
in your opinion, it's time to buy or sell this sh*tcoins?  Huh

i think sell now, buy btc and hold bitcoin or you can buy some alt who more profitable after or when hardfork happen.. its better than you hold shitcoin for hardfork

If someone believe that altcoin does not have good future or from long time its value is just stable and not rising then its better to get it converted to bitcoin and hold it before the fork happens so that you can participate in getting the other coin. Hope the coin value rises after the event.

Altcoins are slowly decreasing in value, and this habit might continue until the fork ends. IMO, I think it will be wise to sell your altcoins now and buy again a day before the fork, by doing that, you will be able to make so much profit since you will be buying when its low and selling when its high.

I don't think its wise to sell your altcoins so that you will be able to claim free bitcoin gold, rather hold on to your alts or even buy more if you can so that you can start making profit once the values begin recovering.

Yes, in my opinion it is the right time to sell our altcoins in the exchange before the fork. It is much better to do it than regret it in the end. At least anyhow, you get benefit on it and have profit.

Everyone is doing that why should you step back if you are in a profit (sounds impossible for most of the alts) then only sell it. I can assure you alts might not rise till hard fork is over so simply holding them wouldn't be a good choice instead get some free coins who knows it might end up like bch. For my portfolio only xmr is giving me decent amount of profits rest all are low so i wouldn't sell it.

A good project will still be a good project whether btc forks or not,
If you believe in the altcoin you are holding, I suggests you hold it tight

I wouldn't wonder if those weklings would get scared and sell off their altcoins, there are altcoins that are worth it to invest. But this coming fork if yo do receive Bitcoin gold, the best thing to do would be to sell it off before it disappears out of nowhere.

I'm personally gonna take this opportunity to buy altcoins and ignore the fork. I don't believe BitcoinGold will hold much value.

If you don't believe in the altcoins holding, then yes, you should sell them. The tendency shows traditionally crypto-people try to sell altcoins in order to buy BTCs, but at that time altcoins sale price may not be so interesting and engaging as expected.

No one knows in what position altcoins will be after the fork, but i strongly believe they will all pump after the fork and bitcoin will lose a littile bit significantly. I dont know but these is more likely to happen in my own opinion so it is good to keep or invest in some altcoins before the fork but if you have a great amount of btc, i would choose to put my money all on btc.

People are actually selling their altcoins to buy bitcoin because of the fork, but mysterious things can happen after the fork that will make some people to regret their action.

It's time to buy altcoins cheap I think. It's very likely that Bitcoin and Bitcoin gold will get dumped back for the coins once the dust settles over the fork.

I think this is the main mistake of most novice traders. An attempt to move from one asset to another will not help you earn money. I usually on such movements of the market wait for the most convenient moment for buying and buy assets with a large drawdown.

I think the best tactic is to buy some altcoins just before the fork, as their price would be rather low, and then wait for x2 and more.
