http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n107/lostallsan1ty/cgminerfail.png

am now using cgminer 3.0 and it's giving me the above error.

Please help. My cgminer 2.0 , 2.1 , 2.11 won't work either. It crashes right away and shows a similar error to this one but it ALSO says something about openCL not detected (No GPU detected or installed)

I have re-installed my drivers multiple times and it's still giving me the same issues.

Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have an ASUS Radeon HD 7850 2gb GPU inserted and installed. Drivers updated. Or so I thought. Do you have anything else to say now that I've answered your question?

Also after installing the AMD APP SDK download the latest cgminer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0 and post the commands you are using for it.  Smiley

Ok I've downloaded the newest version, and it's still not working. Commands? I'm not using any commands. Should I? How do I use them? Which commands do I use?

Now it just says

This application failed to start because OpenCL.dll could not be found. Try re-installing the application to fix.

I tried re-installing. Gives me same error.

Heres an example of the commands you should give to CGMiner

color 02
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.give-me-ltc.com:3334 -u Worker.1 -p workerPass --shaders 1024 --intensity 15 --worksize 256 -g 1

The opencl.dll problem is related to the sdk not being installed or a bad install, you downloaded the latest version (2.Cool here:

So you're saying I have to input commands somewhere to get this thing to work?

CGMiner won't detect my radeon hd 7850 - computer knows it's there but cgminer doesn't.

Yup there's the problem, you need to give cgminer the commands to connect to  a pool and actually mine anything and accept work. It is either through the command prompt or through a batch file that you have to make.

Theres an easier alternative that would still use cgminer: http://guiminer.org/ just make sure you have already joined a pool and have a username and worker name.

The easiest way to start though is to join bitminter http://bitminter.com/ and download their java client it will detect your GPU all you have to do is type in you username and worker name and password. Then just press start and your set.

GUIminer is even saying there's no openCL devies found.

How do I give the commands to CGMiner ? I will try connecting with guiminer and see what it does.

Yeah so I tried on my desktop with the ASUS Radeon HD 7850. I loaded up GUIMiner and chose other as my host because I'm connecting to a litecoin server. Everything is entered, even the port "80" and when I hit start mining nothing happens. I also chose the ati card option.

How do I give cgminer the commands to connect?

***&BTW it still says "OpenCL.dll was not found" when I try to open cgminer exe

Open notepad and paste the following and save as start.BAT in the same folder as cgminer, replace the xxx with your own information.

color 02
cgminer --scrypt -o http://xxxxx.com:8080 -u bit4slushie.xxx -p xxxx --shaders 1024 --intensity 18 --worksize 256 -g 1

Did you start CGMiner by clicking on the .BAT file? Make sure it is in the same folder as CGMiner.exe and then just double click on the .BAT file with the info I posted above.

Also please download and install MSI Afterburner: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm
