I'm not really convinced about Bitcoin Gold but maybe i'm wrong. I'm curious what you think about Bitcoin Gold so feel free to vote or share your opinion here.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Never heard of it, sounds like just another scam coin to add to the list, please move topic to altcoins.

BTCG has a promsing future in my opinion.
Its more decentralized then Bitcoin Core, with using the equihash algo.
The common miners with their GPU are taking back control.
Not with BTC who's been monopolyzed by ASIC farms.
So i actually like BTCG.

BTCGLD can be a good one, but actually, what about the roadmap? does this one finish? lot of questions.

We can talk about the snapshot, the replay protection.

I found BTCG interesting too. Probably because it is my first time experiencing a BTC fork. Will wait for further updates on this, crossing fingers that this will benefit many.

I don't care about it, anyway. Is it the result of Bitcoins hardfork? So confusing why hardfork has to be done when in fact bitcoin is stable at this time and seems to last for a long time. I also heard about airdrop about bitcoin gold and actually joined in the airdrop but nothing really happens.

They are working on no replay protection as we speak.
Then made a PDF document, answering all these factors.
Check their twitter and read it.

We can talk about the snapshot
A fork is not a snapshot, a fork is a fork.

the replay protection.
What replay protection?

They are working on no replay protection as we speak.
Working on it doesn't mean it is done (and tested) yet. Time is slowly running out, unless they want to delay once again.

I really do not know how bitcoin gold is going to work out. I can see lots of people dumping it straight away. It will be interesting to see gpu mining of it.

Its more decentralized then Bitcoin Core, with using the equihash algo. The common miners with their GPU are taking back control. Not with BTC who's been monopolyzed by ASIC farms.
Let's take a look at that, shall we?

This is Ethereum (ETHash, a GPU algo):

2 pools share 52,4% of the global hash power, 3 pools share 62%, 4 pools share 71,3%

This is Bitcoin (SHA256D, we know that one):

2 pools share 33,3% of the global hash power, 3 pools share 45,7%, 4 pools share 57,4%

You need 4 pools on BTC right now to cross 50%, you only need 2 pools on ETH.
Tell me again, how are GPU mining coins more decentralized?

If this is an assassination plot for bitcoin and if the second Hardfork will be proven a danger for bitcoin can we stop the plot in a core developer in what they are doing? and I think that article is just a speculation even if they have seen a one email address for something like that doesn't mean they are plotting something, and beside I think the community would be aware of it when something come up about bitcoin.

Same as what happens to bitcoin cash, I don't think it can make to the top as the first bitcoin did.

Yeah, it was made with better features than bitcoin but I don't think investors will support it as they already has one (which is bitcoin and not bitcoin gold), I really think that investors will deny it after getting what they want from it.

Just another stupid attempt to make free money , If they are really offering things better than the real BTC why not just make a new coin  ! , What we are witnessing here is just another attempt  trying to control BTC and they will fail  like others did , It is not really matter if they are offer something new they will just fail . If you are really have something new to offer then go make you own fking coin and stop try to fix something that do not need to be fixed .

Also I think this new alt coin is pure scam , And thread related to it should be opened on altcoin sections not here .
