I'm not really convinced about Bitcoin Gold but maybe i'm wrong. I'm curious what you think about Bitcoin Gold so feel free to vote or share your opinion here.

I really think it just another drama whenever bitcoin reach a new alltime high, just like bitcoin cash. But if its free money at first for every bitcoin holder, then why not? This coin might not become as big as bitcoin but i think it worth the try

I have a feeling that some people see hardfork as a simple way to get some serious funds. Problem is if this happens too often, it will affect the trust in bitcoin. Fact is that after the fork, new coin has some price. When you combine original btc + fork price, you get a significant increase in total value. But where is this money coming from? It doesn't' it's just a perceived value. So basically some of the actual funds are overflown into the new coin since you can sell it for fiat. I'm not a financial expert but this sounds like a problem to me.

When bitcoin cash is being introduced that time it's value was bigger than ETH and next to the bitcoin price chart but now it's value deceased to low amount recent days now again started increasing. You should not believe this don't go for the purchase for this coin or bitcoin gold.

So think of all because you hope to get the bitcoin gold for free. We have nothing to lose. But to coin had the value of need to anyone bought. Who will do it? There will never be trust and respect for the money that you got for free. Those people who win the jackpot in a casino rarely change your life for the better because you don't earn this money and have not learned to appreciate them.

Is this bitcoin gold the other coin that will come out of fork? Just like bitcoin cash? If so, i think it would not be that significant. It might affect bitcoin by just a little in the beginning but give it a few weeks or maybe a month then bitcoin will be back on its track, continually rising. In terms of trading this may be a good investment but not for long term as some if not most of alt coins gets forgotten as time pass by. I think there will be 3 to 5 coins that will be traded the most. The others will be forgotten in a few months or year. Bitcoin is still the best bet

I don't think it is worth keeping it. After bitcoin crash disappointment, it is going to be yet another disapointment. What I wish is these people holding large influence on bitcoin community to stop making decisions for personal gains.

I don’t care Because time now for bitcoin at it is leader  of other altcoin and all Depend on it

other altcoin may need to take about 5 years to get some success

bitcoin gold is a crap altcoin fork from bitcoin which decided to have a very large premine and many people in cryptocurrency sphere consider that a big scam. so that makes this coin a "crap"
but that doesn't mean it is not interesting though. the airdrop that it will perform will be a good chance to make a lot of profit for many. you can just sell your reward and enjoy it, you can start trading it and enjoy the initial big swings. and a lot of things like that. which makes it "interesting and exciting".

Bitcoin gold is going to be mined by a large ASIC producers company.

I just don't believe that they have enough power to maintain a strong chain, and I think that soon after the chain comes out we will see a decrease in difficulty.

It's another way for the whales to make money, it's like a trend and that's what the whole market is based on, trends.
Just like they used to make money off ICOS, now they are making money by forking the chain and having a new coin.

Bitcoin cash (last forked coin) is still struggling to gain some community support and now another fork 
I don't think this will be any good in both short to long term, on first few days of listing whales might try to pump both price and mining difficulty to attract new users into it but all those free bitcoin gold will come to market within few days which will just dumped its price to hell.

I am still expecting a detailed explanation on it as we saw in the case of BCH but I am not keeping my hopes high until the coast is clear for its use. Either way, I don't think its generating the amount needed attention as BCH did. For BCH to have this drastic turn, I am not expecting much difference from Bitcoin Gold. Anyway, wait and be part of the air drop that is just some days away and from there, we all decide what we all want to do with. For the record, I care about it.

All of us will be getting free coins. So what is the need to complain? If you believe that it is a shitcoin, then please don't claim your share. Previously, I had claimed my share of Bitcoin Cash (in August) and this time also I will be claiming my share of Bitcoin Gold. I will be keeping a part of my stash and converting the remainder to either fiat cash or Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Gold (BTG) is not Segwit2x (BT2).
BT2 is currently being traded as Chain Split Token (CST).

It is exciting for me because i think that it will be a good bonus for the bitcoin users because they can get money from holding bitcoin and it is like an early christmas gift for the bitcoin holder so there is not valid reason to think negative things for the incoming fork that will be named bitcoin gold as another kind of forked coin of bitcoin.

I heard that Bitcoin Gold could be mined with the processors. really a very nice feature for me. Because everybody turned to the Graphics cards, there was a Graphics cards problem in the market, now assigned to the processors.
