In the first bitcoin´s hardfork there was a lot of volatility with altcoin prices and bitcoin had a marked decline thanks to speculation and inexperience. now the bitcoin is having a bullish activity despite the proximity of the second fork combined that the BTCGold coin leaves much to be desired due to its delays, his team has not done tests in networks of test or testnet, in addition they have not yet implemented protection against replay attacks and have not changed the Proof of Work algorithm. so wait to see how the market reacts to the arrival of this new altcoin that for my opinion will not make much noise.

i dont think the BTC fork will have big impact on ETH price. The trend of bitcoin sucking money out of all alts will continue, as the altcoin bubble continues tu burst. There is simply too many altcoins with no real purpose.

Probably. People holding BTC just for fork will dump and grab any other stable coin.
Or not. It's all speculation...
Indeed because the fork just only the fact those are holding the bitcoin right now and another fact that they will try to dump their coin and take the more opportunity to buy back again in another place. I just think that will be good.

After btc hardfork i think the bitcoin price still high $5000-$5300 and altcoins will pump, eth with ICOs will still increase but slowly.
I believe a lots of people keep bitcoin long time and they never sell it . investment long term always is best

There is a possibility to increase its value, but if the value of bitcoin continuous increasing i think the value of ethereum will increase also but a little bit because i notice that value of eth are depending of the bitcoin value every dump of bitcoin price eth will start to increase its value. After the fork bitcoin will be much stronger the value will more stable and not dump below $5000, but i am hoping also that ethereum will increase the stability of value to gives more profit for my investment and i am happy that ethereum are continuously increase its demand.

Do you guys think the price of ETH Will rise significantly once the investors from BTC / BTC Gold sell off? What about the other alt coins? Which one do you think will rise the most as a function of the BTC Gold users selling out of BTC?
Yeah, that's what I think is the case most of the time. As we have observed from the first bitcoin fork (a.k.a. bitcoin cash), bitcoin price have increased a lot a week or two before August 1. Days after the forking, it immediately dropped to it's lowest of that month at $2,980. My suspicion (and I'm 95% sure of it) why it happened is that investors from other altcoins have withdrew their investments and put it in bitcoin before the forking, and then withdrew it by the time they've received their bitcoin cash. And that's still probably the case in this coming October 25 forking. In my opinion, ethereum and other altcoins will rise up again once the forkings (actually, there are 2 coming bitcoin forking) are done. But the altcoin which I think will get a high boost in value after the forking is LITECOIN. There was a point where its value reached the $80 mark, then dropped to $40 (almost 50% decrease). Now, it is sitting at $64, and I hope that it will recover after the forking of bitcoin.

For Ethereum to be able to gain such a price as you estimate, it would need at least two things to happen. Firstly, the ETH users must support the new fork, and report no problems, and continue to mine and use it as before. Secondly, Bitcoin has to stop being on such a big bull run. With the price just going up so high, there's almost no space for an alt to come and creep in, especially not ETH in #2. 100 billion dollar market cap for Bitcoin, so ETH can just hope to solidify and attain its old $400 - that is the best scenario.

I think eth like most alts will definitely have a rise after the fork on the 25th, perhaps more so than others because it is the 'main' alt in most people's eyes.

Exchanges start the announcment of BTC gold airdrop nowadays. I think everyone turn back to BTC to take these BTC Gold tokens. In my opinion and also I wish that after the fork all altcoins will be green including ETH

In the short term, I do not think that there will be a big jump on the prices. But I think ETH is one of the best long term investment option.

Ethereum will reach $1000 easy by 2019. I don't know how high we will run up after the fork, but here's hoping for at least $500

I think eth like most alts will definitely have a rise after the fork on the 25th, perhaps more so than others because it is the 'main' alt in most people's eyes. After hardfork then trader will return to ethereum and other altcoin, this is guaranteed and has been confirmed the price will go up. Ethereum also do their own hardfork and without btc they have been preparing for more innovative things to become stronger in the future, we need to appreciate if eventually they become POS.
