What I don't understand is why are you taking 40% of the ICO coins for yourself?  Isn't the 150k ETH you're raising enough for you?

I hate these greedy projects... You're leaving only 60% of the minted coins to your backers.

You shouldn't be taking any of the ICO coins, the funds you've received during the ICO should be enough for dev (or any other) purpose.

We have no intention of keeping 40% of the coins for ourselves.

The founders keep 10% of the coins locked up for two years,
10% will be used to incentivize our staff and ensure long term loyalty to our business. Minimizing staff turnover is very important for an exchange, perhaps much more so than other businesses.
The remaining 20% will be distributed to partners, advisers and then we plan the airdrop the remainder, similar to how Kyber airdropped additional tokens to their whitelist after their ico was completed.

I agree that there are already too many decentralized exchanges, and the speed and throughput of current blockchains is far too low. This is why Dimensions Networks are building a centralized exchange first, build up the business, and then transition to a decentralized exchange when the time is right. We are probably a few years away from a truly decentralized network which can handle the volume from a major exchange.

I should also point out that we are not a regular exchange.
We are targeting the following trading services:
- Coin Pairs
- Margin
- Shorting
- Options
- Futures

We have also thought about adding some coin gambling services, such as bet if a coin price will go up or down after x days. But this is something to consider for much later.

We are planning to add an informational video and info-graphic to our website to make things clearer.
I'll post when they are ready.

There are only very few exchanges offering margin trading where you can borrow funds for long or short positions, one of the most well known is Poloniex. I don't know if there's a coin exchange right now that offers Options and Futures trading for crypto currencies. You could be the first. May I ask if you already have an existing prototype code for your planned centralized exchange?

Yes we already have a full trading engine built in Erlang, and we are currently building additional elements around it (APIs, coin wallets, options rules, margin rules etc)
We are missing the front end at the moment, but we hope to have a very basic demo on our website by Monday, and then make regular updates to improve it.

We will launch the platform with Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT, and then continuous add additional tokens to the platform.
In the cases for the smaller altcoins coins, I don't think there will be sufficient demand for options and futures, but we will make these features available and see how our users respond.

We are also applying for banking licenses in various jurisdictions, so this will allow us to offer true fiat trading pairs, and fiat deposits/withdrawls.

Phase 1 (Launch)
Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT

Phase 2
Top 10 cryptocurrencies

Phase 3
ERC 20

Phase 4
User Request, New Altcoins

Just an update on our website, you can now try out our basic demo.

https://dimensions.network/en/demo/

We will update the demo with additional features as the ICO gets closer.
